We took a quick three day trip to Emerald Isle, NC this summer and one of the highlights was doing the Island Ferry Adventures to Sand Dollar Island. Their boat was clean, captains polite, safe traveling. He took us to the island and dropped us off for a few hours to search for sand dollars. Very neat thing to with... More

Absolutely the worst experience that I ever had on a boat ride. First off the folks should have told everyone that it was going on a small boat. The boat only holds 15 or so. That wasn't too bad but once we left the docks for the 1 hour ride it was miserable. There were no cushions and the ride... More

Jay, sorry to hear about your experiance but it could not be Island Ferry Adventures because we have not had a Cape Tour this month. If it was in September it must had been with another company with a similar name? Perry (252)241-5214 More

This is a terrific way to see the islands. Some folks thought the ride was too bumpy, but I thought it was fun. It's on time, yet laid-back to accommodate folks as necessary.

My family has used this service for the last few years and have had a great experience every time! The staff is very ffriendly. On our last trip we went to bird shoals and set our return time for 3hours and decided we were having so much fun that we wanted to extend our stay by a couple more hours.... More

Captain John was excellent! He knew exactly where to go to see the wild horses, dolphins, birds, jellyfish, and stingrays! We got some great pictures and had a wonderful time. We will do it again in the future!

The ferry employees are very safety conscious and also very informative. I have a mobility issue and they were very helpful. I was able to discuss my itinerary in advance with a very helpful person on the phone. They manage a tight ferry schedule while being very considerate and not at all impatient. Because of their consideration I had a... More

Captain Jeff did nice job providing information about local ecology during 45 minute boat ride from Beaufort to Cape Lookout. Climbed the lighthouse. Scenery worth the 207 step climb. Enjoyable experience. Cheaper if one drives to Harker Island to take the ferry but worth the experience if one leaves from Front Street in Beaufort NC.

This is the ferry service that use to be next to maritime museum on front street. Been going on tours with these guys for years never had a bad experience. Knowledgeable captains carry you on a tour of the outer banks by cape lookout telling you about the areas history and wildlife. You even get to see the wild ponies... More

We went yesterday 6/20 and had an absolute blast! We went sand dollar hunting and found about 32. We also found some live ones but you leave them be, we found some live conchs, as well as a hermit crab. We were out on the sand bar for about 2 hours however it really only felt like it was about...
