The atmosphere, the people and the restaurants were delightful and we enjoyed the free ferry ride to Oriental.

Just one block off Front Street, this is worth the trip. The grave stones are beautiful and the history quite interesting. Wish there would have been the guide pamphlet inside the cemetery as noted, but we went back online to figure a few things out. Great history, location.

This graveyard is a very cool visit...night time or day...this is a walk back through history...located very close to downtown..a nice side trip or stroll ... very interesting history and stories behind each and every headstone... dating back hundreds of years.....

I loved the history and different inscriptions on tombstones. Within walking distance of Beaufort Inn.

Revolutionary and Civil War cemetery. Be sure to see the soldier buried standing up! Well within walking distance of the Historic District and right by the beautiful Ann's United Methodist Church which is also beautiful at sunset.

The graveyard is extremely old, and if you can, find someone to tell you the stories both fact and fiction of the older graves If not, pick up a brochure. The burying grounds is well-kept and the trees, with Spanish moss hanging from the branches, is perfect for a quick tour ands great spot to develop a summer school report.... More

We went in October and it is absolutely beautiful. Full of history and serenity. Great place to take pictures and see some of the history of the headstones of Beaufort!

Walk around and feel the past, look at the names and dates and be ready to be moved. Get a brochure at the Maritime Museum and find the graves of the pirates and the captains, and leave a present for the little girl. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

The stories were amazing especially that of the 11 year old girl and her decorated tomb. A lot of mystery here.
