Alright, we are skiing in NC, but this mountain is comparable to Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey ski areas where I grew up skiing. Not as vast as West Virginia or New York, but all-in-all this is a nice (small) mountain. Good: Nice assortment of Intermediate slopes. Weekday pricing of $37 is very reasonable, and a full rental set is... More

A great way to get back into skiing after 6 years! Fun and not too crowded {we were there on a Monday}.

Skied here with my son on Super Bowl Sunday. First visit. Parking lots crowded but very short to no lift lines. The high speed 6 seat lift really moves out. With 1200' vertical drop and some long, steep runs it was lot of fun. A Military Discount was very nice for our tickets. I lost my wallet in the cafeteria... More

Let's all agree that we are not talking about a Rocky Mountain ski resort. This is a small resort on the east coast that can help quench one's thirst if a long ski trip is not an option. We picked this place not to shred powder, but to have a 5-year-old kid learn to ski. This resort is getting a... More

We went up skiing for a few days after a big storm and had a great time. Pros: The sugar bears program for kids is great! After 2 days my son was skiing with us down blue square runs making turns and in control. On one of the days we were there they were not making snow and it was... More

I love Sugar Mountain ;-) I love that there is a little bit of everything for everybody. I am currently mastering the skiis and for a beginner this mountain is super nice. Nothing too crazy and not too overwhelming. I also love all the other great activities available for everybody;-) Snowshoeing tours and tubing. The lodge has a full bar... More

We went to sugar mountain on thanksgiving weekend. I am a former ski instructor. Sugar had northridge, switchback, upper flying mile and lower flying mile open after just 30 hours of snowmaking. They've realigned two lifts to create a mid mountain lift, but most importantly, the high speed six pack cuts lift times from 12 minutes to 5 minutes. Get... More

This mountain has got awesome slopes quick lifts to get u going down the mountain faster, but best of all the snow tubing was a blast. Elizabeth at skating took care of my wife and I and we really enjoyed our first year anniversary. I highly recommend sugar mtn. Skiing and snow tubing. Very very fun

We went ice skating for the 8pm session. It only lasted 1 1/2 hrs. It was $22 per person. The atmosphere was great because you were ice skating on the side of the mountain, but the heat lamps were not operable when it was only 22 degrees outside. I opted not to skate due to the price.
