Highland Mountain expedition provided our family with a great white water rafting experience. The trip we took was excellent for kids. The staff was terrific. It was fun day getting wet with water fights, swimming and jumping off The Rock. They also provided us with a very nice picnic lunch. I highly recommend High Mountain Expedtions!!!

I just went white water rafting with my grandma and my brother and I did the jump rock! The water was so cold but it was so much fun! We had an amazing guide and his name was Chris Leonard! Even though he kept getting me wet he was so nice and cool! I'll see y'all back again next year!😃

What a fabulous trip. I was torn between being a nervous mom of a barely 3 year old and wanting adventure for my 11 year old. This trip was the perfect fit. The guides let the parents do the parenting of the younger kids and adequately teased and entertained the older ones. The river was tame, but the mix of... More

The bride and her maids had a wild weekend in the mountains including a white water rafting trip with High Mountain Expeditions. We went on the Watauga river trip because of the later start and low class rapids (since we had some newbies to rafting in our group). The overall experience was fantastic -- from the lunch (especially the cookies... More

Shaggy was a well experienced river guide who gave us opportunities to experience more than simply floating the river. I highly recommend choosing experience over a gourmet lunch and saving $10. I will definitely bring my family again.

6/17/15 spend most of the day caving with high mountain expeditions. We had the most amazing time it was quite the adventure. My 15 year old daughter and my 12 year old son had a blast and so did my husband and I. It is quite challenging.. Highly recommended if you are the adventure hiking, climbing type... This was our first time ever and the folks from high mountain expedition went out of their way to make this fun ( while being safe ) I was surprised by the lengthy bus ride but with our excellent driver it was a snap .... ( he can drive !!) than onto the boat and it was bliss... More

My husband and I enjoyed the full day whitewater rafting trip with a group of friends while visiting the area. It was the first time either of us had gone rafting. The guides were all great and we felt very safe on the trip. It was a huge day of fun, and we would most definitely return if we are... More

When I booked High Mountain Expeditions for my buddy's bachelor party, I had no idea I would be making memories that would last a lifetime. Our raft guide imparted a lifetime of wisdom and stories throughout the trip, and I consider Dallas a true friend now (and a legend). When I was on the water and felt threatened by a... More

My husband, 11 year old daughter, and I took the expedition to Worley's Cave on April 1, 2015. We had a beautiful day, and our guides, Lewis and Lombardi, were amazing- they were very knowledgeable, helpful, enthusiastic, and easy to get along with, not to mention funny:). The trip is pricey but worth it. (I will note that when I... More
