The USMA is a must see for anyone who believes in the ability of our young men and women to become leaders of our nation. The Academy, once a fort protecting access to upper NY, is beautifully situated on a bend of the Hudson River. It's a wonderful present day look into the history of the US, but---more important---it stands... More

Ordered tickets on line but checking in was still a little bit of a hassle; arrive early. You do want to spend some time in the visitor's center either before or after your tour as the displays and films are very informative. There is also a large, well stocked gift and sportswear shop. The shorter bus tour with two stops... More

After visiting the US Military Academy, I realize how much pride and joy a parent can feel seeing any one of their children graduate from such a prestigious academic institution. As a school, it is not wanting in anything that will help inspire a young man or woman to become the best person he can be---from the sports grounds to... More

If you have never visited West Point it is a must see. It is a gorgeous campus with beautiful views of the Hudson River. The buildings are magnificent with their medieval granite buildings - reminded me a bit of Harry Potter. If you get a chance to see the uniform factory - go - it is impressive. Lots of great... More

We signed up for the 1-hour bus tour on a beautiful August day. The tour stops at the chapel -- a gorgeous gothic cathedral with great stained glass and also at a location that gives visitors a chance to see lovely views of the Hudson. The guide shares lots of anecdotes about famous cadets and the history of the academy.... More

We took my sons( ages 9 and 7) here on an overcast day. We spent about 90 minutes walking around the museum which has free admission and then we took the bus tour around the grounds. The boys loved seeing the canons, bombs, jeeps, tanks, and guns. They also loved looking at the progression of military weapons through the centuries.... More

The last time I visited West Point was many years ago when I was dating a cadet. So 25 years later I really got the full picture. I was taking a big student group on their one hour bus tour of West Point. A magnificent place high above the Hudson River with wonderful million dollar views. Our guide was a historian... More

Spending time at the USMA gives you an appreciation for US Army history and tradition. We took the 2 hour tour from the Visitors Center which not only took us to the various Buildings and Locations around the post, but also gave us a wealth of information on the history of the Academy. Our guide was extremely well versed on... More

Sign up in the visitor's center for the bus tour. There are two ... a 1 hour and an a 2 hour. We took the 1 hour because of our travel schedule. It did not include a trip to the cemetary and I'm sorry we didn't get a guided tour there. But the tour takes you to the chapel, the... More
