Visitor's center itself is free. No self-guided tours of the grounds beyond, however, as its entry is only with guided tours. Tickets available daily at Visitor's Center. The quality of the tour is tops in all areas: timeliness, professionalism, narration, attention to individual needs, scenic, pacing & beauty of sites. The famed USMA is already beautiful & steeped in history... More

We took the two hour tour, which included visiting the cemetery. We were able to see the graves of famous soldiers, such as George Custer and Norman Schwarzkopf, along with others not as famous, such as David Marcus (who helped start the Israeli army in the late 1940s). We were able to see the outside of the buildings, but the... More

The tour was good. I was disappointed at my timing, mainly spring break, but the tour leader was knowledgeable and interesting. I have wanted to go for some time, and found the tour well worthwhile.

It's a great place to visit if you want to learn about American military history. It's also a beautiful drive to get there, especially in the fall, before the leaves fall off the trees.

We took the 2 hour tour that included the cemetery. Our tour guide, LaNon, was terrific. It's a good way to see the entire campus, along with visiting the graves of many West Point notables and pay your respects. The original cadet's chapel was interesting, especially with the largest pipe organ in a religious institution in the United States. You... More

Every American should visit West Point. It is inspiring. Especially try to attend a parade when 2-4000 cadets march onto the parade field at once. Cadet chapel must be visited. The view at Battle Monument looking up the Hudson cannot be beat.

We looked up the United States Military Academy on Trip Advisor and it had high ratings so we drove to West Point and decided to go on the tour. We queued at the cashier and when asked for our ID, I gave my Drivers licence which had my ID number on it. The cashier asked us to wait and went... More

The academy is truly worth visiting. So beautiful, and so much history. We took the two-hour tour, which included the cemetery. The guide was very informative, and we learned so much more than we thought we knew. I left the grounds with awe and a new and deep respect for the men and women who serve in our armed forces,... This was my fourth trip here. My son was graduating from West Point. This is America at its best. The history of our country is at every corner, nook and cranny here. The buildings are historic, the cemetery is full of our bravest and best known leaders. The facilities are top notch. Aside from touring the place we played tennis,... More

The guide gave us an educational tour of several highlights and history of the grounds. It is very hilly and spread out so I recommend having a vehicle or a bus tour if you want to do it all in one day and get a map of the grounds first thing or you could get confused. This school is loaded... More
