The campus is impressive, huge and gorgeous being next to the Hudson River. The buildings are wonderful, and the view from the top balcony of the library is fantastic. We also went to the Army vs. Rice football game, which was a lot of fun. We didn't realize that you park far away from the stadium and then take a... More

West Point is a definite to visit in New York. Take the Metro North RR ( Hudson Line) to Garrison stop ( not the Peekskill as some literature says). Cabs are waiting to take you across Hudson into the campus. $10 a head flat rate.

We are a family of five (2 girls ages 11 and 13 and one boy, age 8.) We visited West Point in mid November 2014 as part of a scout trip. It was cold. Very cold. By game time it wasn’t too bad, but if it can be arranged, I would suggest visiting earlier in the season. Also, I can... More

Great renewing old friendships and being back at one of the US' most historic locations! Seeing the many new buildings, watching the Cadets circa 2014, reviewing the many changes all gave rise to pleasant memories.of bygone days...

How can you not be inspired by an institution steeped in history and yet bringing up tomorrow's leaders? If you imagine a bunch of regimented drones marching around, you are more in need of a visit than anyone. You'll find that the cadets are the kids from your home town, only the best of the best. It's not like a... More

My friend and I visited West Point on 10/26. It was a cloudy, breezy day, which I suspect kept some visitors away. We had no problems parking in the parking lot or getting same-day tour tickets. Tickets can be reserved on-line but well in advance. It's a beautiful campus located on the Hudson River. We took the 2-hour tour, which... More

We opted for the two hour tour but there is a one hour tour available. We wish we had opted for it because the two items available for the 2-hour tour weren't available due to a funeral at the cemetery and old chapel. At $17 each it's not a cheap visit. We did enjoy the information the docent gave us... More

My husband and I have been to the USMA twice this year. The first time must have been during spring break or on a holiday weekend and parking was no problem. But when we returned mid-week in October, it was all but impossible to find a place to park. The place you definitely need to see is Trophy Point with... More

I had no interest in going to West Point but my husband wanted to see it. Wow - am I glad we did! Lots to learn, beautiful grounds and views of the Hudson, and new respect and admiration for West Point cadets and graduates. We signed up for the 2-hour Bootcamp tour which included a bus tour of the facility,... More
