It's not just a college, it is a beautiful, well manicured active military installation. Trophy point is incredible. Overlooking the Hudson River, lots of cannons of various sizes and from various conflicts are preserved and on display. Monuments, busts, and statutes of well-known graduates adorn the fields. Remnants of the chain which crossed the river during the revolutionary war on... More

If you love our country, the military and what they stand for, come to West Point and the United States Military Academy! There are both public and private tours available. The grounds are filled with historical artifacts and immaculately maintained grounds. Stop and talk to a cadet or faculty member to gain an appreciation of what it means to serve... More

Our son attended and we're always finding more history as we walk the grounds. Best in spring, fall for the color and the fist snow as well.

walked around the campus before a duke football game. the atmosphere was unbeatable and i won't forget it. Watching the cadet core march and getting to walk around was cool. Tip the campus is most accessible on football weekend otherwise good luck. Mind you this is an active military base too

We got a private tour of the academy, to include a visit in Thayer Hall. The post is beautiful and amazing to see. We did not see a parade, as it was exam week when we were there.

The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY is an iconic military installation and campus in the Hudson River Valley. Only about an hour north of NYC, it is definitely worth a weekend trip. Add with a hike in Bear Mountain State Park for an ideal weekend getaway. Trophy Point is the highlight of campus. I can't recommend any,... More

I visited the United States Mikitary Academy at West Point, New York in June 2015. It was a beautiful sunny day for my visit. I took a 2 hour tour of the Academy and also drove onto the academy grounds after the tour. The tour was quite enjoyable and can be booked on line or at the West Point visitor's... More

Also the oldest engineering school of the USA. Graduates built the railroads West that helped build the country, and founded other engineering schools such as MIT and RPI. Played a key... More
