The most beautiful of the Service Academies bar none. The grounds are a site to behold from the Hudson up to the cliffs and surrounding mountains. Buildings of granite and the Plain where the Cadets march. This is a place to wander around or take a tour. Have lunch at the Thayer. enjoy.

If you ever have the change and a few hours make the trip to visit the academy and museum. Booking online via West Point Tours is very easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and learned a lot.

Before it was ever a school, it was a fort where Benedict Arnold betrayed his country and George Washington could have been captured. Remnants of massive chain strung across the critical Hudson River still decorate Trophy Point. There is so much history and so much beauty. If you plan it right you will get to see the Cadets on parade... More

How can anyone review West Point? My son-in-law is a LTC in the Army, a graduate of West Point. This was a one time only visit, along with him and the family, for my husband and myself. The campus is beautiful and full of history. It was chosen by George Washington as a strategic "must have" to protect the Hudson... More

Awesome place to visit. Things you will learn on the tour will amaze you. For example, the site used for filming the Wizard of Oz is along side the Academy. Much much more. Go visit.

I am a Canadian and a huge Ulysses S. Grant fan. I went to West Point with my dad and loved every second of it! I learned a lot about the history of that place and it was really interesting to have a better understanding about the lives of the cadets and what their training was like. Reading a book... More

Honestly the history and prestige that shadows this campus is awesome. The minute you step on campus you know your in a special place.

This is a beautiful campus. Rich in history. Set at the point where the Hudson River makes a 90 degree turn and there are mountains all around. Beautiful year round regardless of the season. The cadets are being challenged mentally, physically and academically. They like their surroundings almost as much as I did, those that I had the pleasure of... More

This is a must see if you are in the area. The views are breathtaking (especially at sunrise and sunset) and there are great opportunities. Be sure to get a guide.

The Plain of West Point and views are the best ever, even in the Winter. Looking back toward the barracks and Cadet Chapel provide a memorable view/picture. Then standing on Trophy Point viewing the cannon and monument to Civil War Veterans is impressive. You can also have a great view of the Hudson River. Of course, the best time is... More
