The stroll along Geographe bay was relaxing and such a natural panorama.....the well manicured paths and gardens including the statues added to the ambience ....my special moment was the abundance of blue wrens ...means its a welcoming environment

We're so pleased that you had such a great time at Geographe Bay! We hope you manage to pay a return visit in 2014. We recommend spring time, when the wildflowers will be in bloom and there will be whales swimming by! Best wishes, Geographe Bay Tourism Association More

The untainted current flows coming up from Antarctica plus the very low volume of seaborne shipping coming through keeps Western Australia beaches absolutely pristine. Was on an expansive stretch just off Dunsborough on a beautiful autumn night. Even at 8 pm, there were families with kids, families with dogs, couples, isolated fishermen quite visible under the starlight; scattered around the... More

Thank you for your wonderful description of Geographe Bay! You have so accurately captured the peaceful atmosphere on the beach during autumn, when the weather is still lovely and the peak holiday crowds have disappeared. We hope that your entire stay in the region was just as beautiful and that you are able to visit again in future. Best wishes,... More

What a great location...pristine beaches, beautiful views along the coast at Dunsborough and on the other side from the strong sea breezes suffered by Margaret River and Yallingup. That means when the strong sea breeze is blowing at the other coastal towns in the afternoon, beaches here including the beautiful Bunker Bay and Meelup are sheltered and stunning.

We're so pleased to learn that you share our enthusiasm for the region's beautiful beaches, thank you for recommending them to other travellers. Meelup Beach is a particularly magical spot, and one of the few places in WA where the full moon rises over the ocean. We hope you return to the region soon! If you visit Geographe Bay at all you will find some of the most beautiful scenery. We travelled to the Naturliste lighthouse and walked down the coast road to the look out point. We were extremely lucky to see whales in the Bay.

Thank you for sharing your experience of Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, and congratulations on seeing whales during your visit! A huge number of whale sightings were reported this season. As you mention, the lighthouse is not only a great place to see whales but there are also stunning views of the coast. We are glad that you enjoyed the scenery and... More

The views ofver the water are magnificent and the day we were there, we had a lovely sea breeze. This is a must see area if you are staying around or just driving through. Lovely, nature at its best.

Thank you for paying a visit to Geographe Bay! The soothing breeze we get in this area is called the ‘Fremantle Doctor’, and it not only keeps us comfortable in the summer, but it is also one of the reasons why we are able to make such excellent wine in the region. Thank you for recommending Geographe Bay, and we... More

Beautiful beaches even on chilly, wrap up warm days. Walking to whale lookout at cape naturaliste and seeing 7 pods of whales with their young from the lookout was a blast

We are delighted to learn about your truly memorable experience! It has been a great whale-watching season so far in terms of sightings, but in your case we think you were particularly lucky! It’s also great to hear that you enjoyed some of the 30km of pristine coastline found in the Geographe Bay region. If you would like to share... More
