We did the Lighthouse tour as part of the above and below ground discount pass. The Lighthouse was built in 1903. It is situated in scrub land. The tour guide was very good, and we learnt a lot about the hard life of a Lighthouse man (and his family) The guide stops on each floor and gives you some more... More

We have seen many lighthouses and chose not to do the tour $12 tour. Instead, we paid $3 each to walk up the hill to the lighthouse & around the precinct but there was a fence around the area and lots of shrubbery growth. So, unless you do the tour, there is nothing much to see up there. The information... More

We couldn't have asked for a better day to visit - bright blue sky, sunshine and it was August!! We didn't do the guided tour but happily paid the $10 family fee to walk around the grounds and base of the lighthouse. The information guide we were given when we bought our tickets gave us good information about the history... More

I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the base walk experience at the lighthouse, and that you were so lucky with the weather on the day you visited! Our guides have a wealth of knowledge and they are only too happy to share it. I hope that you are able to visit us again in future - we have a bouncy... More

This is a really easy to get to lighthouse without the feeling of big entry gates and loads of entry fees! You just walk up, purchase a tour from the little shop inside and then wait 10 minutes for the next tour to leave. The lighthouse itself is easy to climb, and there are lots of stops on each level... What a gorgeous photo! Thank you for sharing this, and for your wonderful review. It’s a very special time to visit the lighthouse - we’re seeing whales swim by on an hourly basis most days, and the wildflowers are in bloom all over the national park. We hope you come back soon! Best wishes, Attractions Manager More

We didnt know there was such a day till we found out the day we visited here. Had a fabulous guide who gave a very informative description of the history and what the life of the light house keeper was like. Not so many stairs here, but great views and even saw some whales passing.

Thank you for joining us for International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend! Although you weren’t aware before you came, you actually helped us to raise a significant donation for the Naturaliste Volunteer Sea Rescue Group, which is a local charity doing some very important work. So thank you for your support, and I am very pleased that you enjoyed your visit.... More

We did the guided tour of the lighthouse. Special thanks to our tour guide Kerry Ann, she was very good and very accommodating. She even got umbrellas for us to use as we did the tour in a middle of a storm! The lighthouse is not that high so for me it's an easy climb up the tower. The tour... More

Set amidst the beautiful surroundings of the Cape, this Lighthouse isn't as big as the one in Cape Leeuwin, but still worth visiting!

We are very lucky to have such a beautiful home in the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park! This time of year is a magical time to visit – we’re seeing whales swim by during almost every tour, and the wildflowers are beginning to bloom. The great thing about being situated on a Cape which is 120 metres above sea level is that... More

I visited a few weeks ago the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and was really disappointed. Never ever do the "Basewalk"! It's just the 50m walk to the Lighthouse and you can go around. You can't see the ocean just the fence around the Lighthouse and I payed 4$ for it. I didn't want to see the inside but a nice walk... More

I am sorry to learn that you didn’t feel the lighthouse base walk provided good value for money. The towers at Bunbury and Busselton offer amazing views, so thanks for sharing these tips. Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse does work slightly differently as it’s still a functioning lighthouse, and by paying your base walk fee you have helped to support the important... More

Cape Augusta was much nicer as it was taller... Cape Naturaliste sits on a cliff so its not as tall... but the surrounding trails are worth checking out..

Thank you for recommending the walk trails round the lighthouse. There are 4 to choose from, which range from 1.3km to the 135km Cape to Cape Track, which begins at the lighthouse. When you reach Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse you are already 120 metres above sea level, which means that you climb just 59 steps to arrive at the top of... More
