Interesting visit with guide giving history and working of lighthouse. Not so high as Cape Leeuwin so fewer steps may suit some although not so spectacular a setting or so many buildings it is still worth a visit.

Unfortunately we went to the lighthouse and it was SO cold so didn't hang around for too long. It's a beautiful place and a must visit if only for the views

Those are the best days for hitting the amazing walk trails we have out here and keeping warm! i hope you enjoyed the tour and found it interesting. This lighthouse is the one to visit with young children. Short up hill walk then approx 60 steps to top.

Hi Denise H, Thanks for taking the time to post. We pride ourselves on being the most accessible lighthouse due to the small number of stairs. You still get all the history and the amazing views though because we are perched on a big hill overlooking the ocean and Geographe Bay. All the best, Cape Nat Staff More

If you don't mind a bit of a walk not only is the lighthouse interesting to visit but the walking tracks around the lighthouse will give you great views of the coastline. One thing to be wary of is that the track is only well formed (wheel chair accessible) for part of the way. After this point it gets sandy... More

Dear Silvio-van-Tol, Thanks for taking the time to post. Sounds like you had a great trip and really made use of the cape's trails. Next time you visit, you can check out the walk trail from the Lighthouse to Sugarloaf rock. It is fully boardwalked and wheelchair accessible for 3.5kms. It is beautiful and best walked in the morning when... More

Easy walking to the top on this guided tour. Views are stunning of cape where Indian ocean wraps around. Historic tour and factoids about lighthouse. Magnificent light with lens. The walk down to the whale watching boardwalk is a good hike. A little hot. Bring water. Plan two hours for tour and self-guided walk. Worth it. Toilet facilities are very... More

This a small lighthouse and doesn't take long to do the tour. the guide provided a few interesting facts about how/why it was built, the old ways of operation, how it works now and bits and pieces about the surrounding area. The tour will take you inside out of the wind for a while until you are eventually taken outside... More

Not the best lighthouse tour, may have been spoilt by the rude ring in family of 8 who claimed to donate $20, and got a tour, cost us $36 for four. Limited info from a disinterested guide (last tour of the day). Grounds under repair, could be improved with guide though cottage and info on keepers stories.

Only about 4 stories tall do it didn't look very intimidating to climb. However, young children & the elderly should be cautious- the steps are small & you may find yourself bumping your head or shoulders as the space is quite confined. Once you're at the top, hold on to your cameras as the wind can be a terror!

Hi Lainee-XQL, Thanks for your post. Great to hear you made it to the top. With only 59 stairs this little lighthouse is probably the most accessible working lighthouse you can visit.
