I travelled on the Cetacean Explorer on both the 9th and 10th of February 2015. The latter FOC. Rough weather on the 9th with half of the passengers sick some violently and for the duration of the voyage. Horrified to see a female passenger almost lost overboard as she ran to the stern to vomit on the rough return trip.... More

Was onboard for the first Bremer bay canyon killer whale expedition tour of season. The seas were rough on the way out to location, 65km to our final destination taking a bit over 2 hours, many suffering seasickness (seasickness pills strongly recommended). Being the first tour no one really knew what to expect, would there be killer whales or not.... More

This is a new venture for this company and at $350 it's a big commitment from the customer. With talk of up to 100 killer whales seen in one outing we were bristling with anticipation. We were sold a day on the water amongst the scientists studying these amazing creatures as well as morning and afternoon tea and a gourmet... More

We saw 40 to 80 Orcas, many up close - like under the boat checking us out - amazing! It's a huge day, my advice: 1) apply sun protection before you get on the boat. 2) don't drink much alcohol the night before. 3) give yourself a rest day before driving long hours home

We had an enjoyable day on the water, but the fish were not as plentiful as we would have liked, perhaps we could have moved around the bay into deeper waters to test those waters. Our kids were very well accommodated, and they both caught fish. There was a lot of space on the boat, not crowded at all. Snacks... More

Found our trip a bit tame compared to experiences in New Zealand and Canada. The crew sought out the closest whales to Dunborough that they could find and stayed with them. Lazy. We saw more activity (humpbacks breaching) from the watch point at Cape Naturaliste the day before. The skipper was too focussed on the group that bull dosed its... More

We viewed the south west migration during November. After a bit of searching we saw several blue whales (from as close as 50m away), and a couple of humpbacks. The crew were very funny and friendly. You could sit or stand where ever you want, including indoor seating. As it's a catamaran it was a very smooth ride. I would... More

The skipper & crew are informative, knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly & funny. The boat is airy, with indoor & outdoor spaces, with seating & standing areas. Seeing the blue whales was amazing. Seeing the humpbacks & dolphins was lovely too. Every effort is made to make the trip a good one. A beautiful part of Australia.
