Got there to be welcomed by a lovely lady called Karen. Very helpful. Our tour guide Georgia done a great job. This was the first of the 3 caves we visited on the weekend with our 2 kids. Loved the experience and is so interesting to learn how these beautiful things are made and formed ect.

A fantastic cave to bring the family. This cave is large and deep and meanders around underground for what feels like many hundreds of metres. Visitors are guided by set walkways and lights with viewing platforms set at areas of interest so the guide can explain the many facts relating to the cave's history and the myriad formations that surround... Jewel cave in picturesque Augusta area is worth every cent. Affordable entry opens you to a world of local history, beauty, changing climate and memories. Our guide was informative and kind - a top visit and I'll be back to see again. Nice coffee was another bonus.

Jewell Cave is made up of four caves and many prefer this one although all three are quite spectacular in different ways.Seeing two or more somehow impressed on us the unique beauty of each. Our guide was interesting and took into consideration the young ones in our group. There are amazing stalactites and ‘straws’ – one of the longest stalactites... More

My family (including our two kids, now 10 and 12) had visited the Lake Cave previously, and were impressed with that ... but our experience of the Jewel Cave was even better. The cave itself is absolutely beautiful: very large, well preserved and with numerous spectacular formations spread throughout the walking tour. Our guide, Karen, was wonderfully entertaining and knowledgeable,... More

Jewel Cave is a pretty cave which is very large. Whilst the walkways make the guided tour relatively easy (although you have many steps and some bending), the most fascinating story I heard was the original discovery. On the tour you see the original entry to the cave which is nothing more than a hole that a tree once resided... More

No jewels here! Very fun historical excursion with great tour guides. I had no idea tassie tigers once roamed caves in other states! One of the biggest caves I've ever been to.

Our 3 year old loved it and coped well with the stairs, our guide (James) was excellent,... More
