Well worth the visit. The actual 'jewel box' was disappointing; there were so many other more spectacular formations that the cave could have been named after. Our guide was excellent and full of information.

wonderful cave, yes. nice and helpful people staffing the place, yes, but leave an extra hour in the schedule to walk around the surrounding karri forest as well. magnificent trees, great flowers and very chatty and beautiful parrots, honeyeaters and fantails.

Our guide Mary's presentation of this cave made it one of the highlights of our very fleeting visit to W.A. She was able answer every question we threw at her. There are quite a lot of stairs but we didn't find it too strenuous as you can take your time. Tour takes approx 1 hour. We also enjoyed our audio... More

Have been in a lot of caves over the years, from one coast to the other, and would have to say Jewel Cave is as impressive as any. It is very deep and includes some vast, cathedral-like spaces. Lots of beautiful shawls and other limestone formations, including the third-largest 'straw' in the world. There's also a nearby walk through a... More

I visited Jewel Cave near Augusta, Western Australia yesterday and loved it. The cave is so impressive and full of beautiful features. I've been in a lot of caves and this is the best commercial/guided cave in the area. Definitely worth a visit. It is a guided tour that takes about 45 minutes and the guide was very informative. It... More

In a word- It is really Jewel, spectacular and amazing. I have no idea about a cave structure and while going through the cave I just got surprised. What a creation of the creator. The guide was brilliant. The formation of the crystal in various dimensions are just amazing. The steps are well placed although you have to down your... More
