What a fantastic beach, when the suns out you could be in the med or Caribbean, and yes there are many shells within the sand. The walk from Herm harbour is very pleasant, and the cafe on the beach is good. With the white sand clear air beware its a real sun trap.

Brillant Christmas break to Herm Self Catering - fantastic walks along deserted Shell Beach. A great place to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Part of the small island of Herm its well worth the walk. Often you will find yourself having the whole beach to yourself.

A superb beach, quieter and in my opinion more beautiful than neighboring Belvoir. You can fish between Shell and Belvoir and there are toilets on the path between the two beaches, which are the only public ones on the east side of the island. A tea room is available and if you keep walking around along the beach you will... More

The smallest of the Channel Islands. There is no traffic. Shell beach is stunning with still loads of shells but not as many as years ago as people take them home. You can eat in the White House Hotel which is a bit more formal or the bar or smaller restaurant for something lighter. You can only get there by Ferry.For... More

we went for a day trip from Guernsey and found it a lovely place to spend the day. Weather was glorious and the walking nice and testing - not suitable for the infirm or pushchairs really. Had a nice lunch and the ferry trip is a lovely crossing

This beach is hidden in a top secret location on Herm Island so keep it quite ! There is a quaint tea cafe at the top of the beach where you can get a Herm Ice cream, bucket and spade or a pot of tea and sandwiches .Great for a swim and a super place to sunbath and watch all the... More

Shell beach was beautiful and made a good start to our walk around the island. We were lucky to have good weather and empty beaches in October!

This long beach is made up of millions of finey crushed shells and it's possible to find some beautiful small shells & stones. The water is crystal clear and was surprisingly pleasant at the beginning of September.

We paddled across to Herm in sea kayaks from Guernsey, landing on Shell Beach. It must be one of the most beautiful coastal locations in the world. An ideal place to relax and unwind with a small cafe to meet the catering needs of the visitor. There are toilets a few minutes walk to the south on the way to... More
