You can take the chair-lift to the top of Monte Solaro and on the way up, enjoying the peace and quiet, you can experience a wonderful view of Capri from the air. Once you reach the top, you have a breathtaking panorama of Anacapri, Capri and the Sorrentine peninsula!! A 360° view that is out of this world. There is... More

We happened upon this place while exploring the island on our own. We were so happy we did! It was a cheap little ski lift up to the top of the mountain with views to die for. It was so great to do, and we were so happy we found it.

We took the bus from Capri Town to Anacapri. The boarding point for the chair lift is very near the bus stop. The chair lift is not expensive. The ride up the lift is quite enjoyable. Make sure your shoes are tied, or take them off and carry them, as we saw more than a couple of shoes lying on... More

Mount SolaroFor a handful of euros, you can hop a precarious chair lift and ride it up to Mount Solaro, taking in the most breathtaking view Italy has to offer. That is a general assumption—I-I mean I have not seen every angle of Italy. That would be…well, impossible. I’m sure someone can make a comparison between the number of views... More

I did this trip in November 2014, on a windy day, else it would hav been very hot. The track starting at Belvedere di Migliera was rough, and sometimes just seems to disappear, but I managed to find it a bit later on. Great view along the track. Need to use my hands a couple of times, else had to... More

We climbed this "mountain'' which has 589 m following a narrow path that goes under the cable car. The view from the top is absolutely fantastic.

The posh shops and the bustling little cafes are great - but, if you are in Ana Capri, the chair lift to the peak of the island is a must. For 10 euros you spend thirteen quiet minutes blissfully sitting alone, being whisked first over gardens, then the open mountainside, with just the rhythmic sound of the cable support wheels... To get here we took the lift and was able to go over olive trees and gardens to the top. Once there the views are spectacular. This island is worth the time and money to see. The tide was up so we weren't able to see the blue grotto, but taking the ferry you could see grottos and they were... More

If you make your way up to Anacapri, I strongly suggest riding to the top of Mount Solaro. A roundtrip ticket on the lift is 10 euros and a single ride up is 7.50. We were pressed for time and chose the roundtrip. You find the chairlift adjacent to the little piazza in Anacapri. It is a casual ride up... More

A single chair ride to the highest point on the island with AMAZING views. I'm not crazy about heights, but this ride wasn't too scary, and very worth it!
