So much better than all the attractions in the town of Capri! Loved it!!! So much to see and the view is absolutely amazing!!! One tip: there is a cafe on the roof top of the villa. It is absolutely fantastic! I loved it!!! We had a glass of wine there and some sandwiches while enjoying amazing view! It is... More

This place is well worth a visit if you are in Anacapri. It is an interesting house, with an insight into the man, and lovely views from the gardens.

The villa and it's surrounding was created by the Swede Dr. Axel Munthe. It's amazing and the view from here is spectacular. This is a must if you visit Annacapri, well worth the 15-20 minute bus drive from the harbor.

Took the bus from Capri to Anacapri, would not like to drive on the island. You can walk, but it is all uphill. Villa is not big, but beautiful. Views from the gardens are beautiful, but there was a lot of cloud when we were there. Did not use the Cafetaria. Lots of shops between Anacapri and the villa. Good... More

This museum tour was fantastic, it was so interesting to learn more about the history of Capri, and some of those who have lived there. Beautiful property and museum.

A must see location while in Capri, and I use the singular “location”, because despite it being referenced as two different locations, it really is only one. It’s like why does the Egyptian Obelisk in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican have a separate entry alongside St. Peter’s Square. You have to be in the Square to see the Obelisk,... More

We didn't realize what an interesting man Axel Munthe was. This is worth the cost of admission and there are great views from the terraces as well as some fine art work and gardens.

Capri gets overrun with tourists and it's great to find a place like this. I'd recommend visiting mid-afternoon when it is quieter. Get the bus from Capri town to Anacapri (have a lazy lunch before or after the bus trip) and wait for the main tourists to go and you will find this little gem of peace and quiet just... More

The villa is a short walk from the main square in Anacapri (you can get to Anacapri by bus from Capri, it is quite a drive!) It is set in an amazing piece of land with glorious views. The house has become a museum (thanks to the Swedish government, Munthe left it to Sweden) that is well laid out and... More

Axel was an interesting fellow to say the least. His house was simply amazing. Well worth the admission for the history and the views.
