I thoroughly enjoyed my visit at Chateau Laniote. The owner of the winery (Arnaud) was clearly very passionate about his wine and he is a wonderful host -- very entertaining! He also took the time to explain his winemaking process, which was a nice addition to the tour. The wine was delicious and I ended up purchasing a few bottles... More

What a wonderful site to visit! The owner/tour guide, has an extreme love and passion for his wine and is entertaining from start to finish! Although the wine tasted was young, if you have time to let it age, it will be wonderful! Never the less, we had a wonderful and comic visit.

Chateau Laniote should not be missed! Not only is the wine delicious and the scenery beautiful, but winery owner, Arnaud is a great host. He is incredibly knowledgable and even performs impressive magic tricks. I'll absolutely be returning to this chateau should I be back in Saint-Emilion.

My parents had been to Chateau Laniote on two previous trips to Bordeaux and highly recommended a visit. My husband and I were travelling with our four month old and decided we would only be able to visit one winery in St Emilion and we chose Chateau Laniote - we were not disappointed. The Chateau is very close to the... More

My friend and I are new to Bordeaux, and as recent college graduates, are only just beginning to learn about all the wonderful wines of this region! After spending a beautiful afternoon wandering around the countryside of Saint-Emilion, we stumbled upon Chateau Laniote. We made a last-minute reservation just 5 minutes before arriving and were immediately welcomed into the intimate... More

We ended a day long private tour of St. Emilion wineries with a memorable visit to Chateau Laniote. Chateau Laniote is a traditional vineyard owned by the same family that began it three generations before. Instead of the professional guides we were met by at the previous wineries we visited over the two preceding days, we were immediately met by... More

The very eccentric owner was our guide ... He took our camera and snapped dozens of photos ... He did magic tricks for us (really) ... and he was also informative. The wines were ok, but the entertainment was unforgettable.

We had booked wine tasting at this vineyard over the Internet a couple of weeks before coming to the area. We turned up about 10 minutes before the tour started only to be asked if we could come back in an hour as the owner/manager was eating. Needless to say we didn't. Shame as it looked a lovely setting.

During our Wine Tour we visited Chateau Laniote. The owner Monsieur Arnaud de la Filolie, met us and he was very entertaining, most informative and charming host. Chateau Laniote is a Grand Cru Classe and the wine was very good. It is a traditional family estate and most of the work is done by hand with a focus on quality.... More

We visited Laniote in May - this was my husband's second visit. You cannot beat the energy and excitement of Arnaud - he will make anyone laugh! We enjoyed the addition of the movie to his tour. The wines are so-so, but the entertainment makes the visit worthwhile! This would be a great vineyard to tour with children.
