As a Californian looking to ski in Chile, Valle Nevado was good, not great. Much snow, lifts were OK, lots of tugs, not many skiers on a Thursday, food was good. Runs simply are not challenging, What Chileans call a Double Black, I would call a dark blue. Staff is nice and attentive. I am used to tree skiing, no... More

I come here annually with my daughter for a ski week. We do all of the mountains and we especially like this one. Plenty of varied terrain, never been particularly crowded. Fairly priced. That said, this place is so disorganized and chaotic at the base trying to get parking, tickets and unloaded. I know that they are trying hard to... More

Got on a trip with my girlfriend and other 7 people in a van with a tour guide and a driver. We have been informed that there was no roadblocks and the road was all cleared to climb by Valle Nevado and the local police. We stayed 14 hours STUCK in the snow with RIDICULOUS support from the resort. Seeing... More

My godness, this place is really something. It was the first time I've seen snow in my life, and the first time skiing. So, ok... I don't really have how to evaluate it properly, but by my experience I can say the place is totally worth-going to. Of course it is expensive. By the way, they offer paper tissues for... More

We did a day trip from Santiago and had a wonderful time. Valle Nevado is one of the more pricey ski centres in Chile but it's proximity to Santiago and high quality of infrastructure make it worth it. A day ski pass comes in at around US$80 while renting basic equipment will set you back a further US$60 (tip rather... More

Apart from beating the heat in Florida we lucked out with a blue sky, sunny "spring like" day for skiing. Plenty of groomed runs, nice lift options and a gondola.....We rented our clothing gear at a little shop in Patio Bellavista near our hotel to save time. Ski boots, poles and skis we rented on the mountain. The staff were... More

Great facilities for sky and snowboard. Only an hour away from Santiago. The sky instructors are amazing, really helpful and willing to make you learn.

The view alone is worth the trip, this place is just beautiful and skiing here is challenging but great. My suggestion is if you are a first timer please "take the class" Jajaja believe me you will thank me later. Skiing is easy once you know how to but very painful and frustrating if you don't.

This is one of the highest parts of the Andes close to Santiago, Chile and easily accessible by road prior to the snow season. We did a one day trip to the Ski resort and had a fabulous day. The accessible road needs to be experienced to be believed with 62 hairpin bends allowing a climb to 3000 metres where... More
