A very interesting cultural centre that once used to be an arsenal, and was very important in the history of Cuiabá. The entrance is paved with old canon balls, and the building houses different cultural rooms. Childrens library, a theatre stage, a concert hall, a cinema, etc, etc. There is a restaurant in the courtyard with affordable and good food,... More

Interesting to visit for atmosphere. I went looking for souvenirs, but couldn't find anything worth bringing back.

Thursday evenings around 7 pm very good Brazilian food and crafts are sold at the Arsenal. Arrive early to park on the street and get a table and chairs. It is very family friendly, the food is excellent, and the crafts are very interesting. There are many families with their children playing on the grassy area in the center of... More

The venue is a wonderful surprise once you pass through the main gates. Stalls with local handicrafts and a good range of foods line the four sides of the central courtyard. In the centre are tables and chairs and a small stage where a local singer/guitar player provided great background music. The whole package works really well for a relaxed... More

Obviously this review of mine is very personal, I've spent 6 months in Cuiabá, and I used to go here lots of times. This is a great place to listen to live music, to try local food to meet the local people, to have a beer, they even have a theater over there. Amazing place to be on a hot... More

Great place, great varanda. The food isnt so good, but it is a perfect place to have a beer by the end of your day. Normally they have live music, not so good but not bad at all. On thursdays they have a great variety of local food, worth a try.

This is the main spot of cultural events in the capital of Mato Grosso in the actual days, on thursdays they have a fair-trade that happens for over 50 years gathering hand-made art and local food from 7pm to 11pm and during the whole year cultural events happening. The place counts with a bar that serves cold beers and beverages... More
