Hitched a ride from the port on the local city bus (Arubus) - $4 per person round trip. Dropped us all off at end of one line by Malmok, and we walked a few mins to Boca Catalina beach. Tiny area with a few permanent straw parasols. Clean and clear water with some nice snorkelling. No apparent amenities at all... More

Just a few minutes North of Eagle Beach, this is a quiet, tucked away little spot. There are two other beaches nearby, Arashi and Melchor. There are no beach bars, so bring your towels, chairs/loungers and some drinks. Shallow water that eases into deeper areas with lots of beautiful fish to encounter. Calm waters, nice breeze and loads of sun... More

Recently went snorkeling here with the family and really enjoyed the experience. The water visibility was great and there was a wide variety of colorful tropical fish to see. Could have easily spent some more time here.

Boca Catalina is a beach with a very good spot for snorkelling. To get there, just take the arubus n 10 from the resorts area and drop off at the Catalina stop point an easy 15 min ride or take a cab us$12 one way. The beach is small -300m of sands. From the beach, the reef can be easily... More

Stretch of sand is pretty small, but snorkeling is what this area is for. We went out a ways to some of the open sandy (and somewhat grassy) areas and saw so many starfish. There were probably 30 or so in one relatively small area. Managed to see an eel here and a few sand dollars. You can go in... More

We were actually at the Boca Catalina Cover, just up from Boca Catalina. Walked in, through the rocks, and saw lots of fun fish right off shore.

We experienced great snorkeling here and the kids had no issues with currents. Plenty of colorful fish and only a few people were there.

Great little local beach. Best place to snorkel. Get there early to get a hut for shade. Can be a little bit rocky.

Boca Catalina is a gem of a beach. We discovered it on our last trip to aruba and liked it so much, we rented a house a few feet away. I have to say that it was more crowded this time around, so the word is out! This is the snorkeling spot that all the tour boats go to and... More
