Farm Sanctuary was amazing! My husband and I went to get away from Manhattan for the weekend and it was beautiful. The farm is gorgeous and they allow you to interact with all of the animals. It really opens your eyes up to seeing how farm animals are sentient beings. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you have children; it's... More

Been to Farm Sanctuary twice - stayed in cabin on the site. Wonderful organization. Very clean. Peaceful is the word that comes to mind when I think of our visits there. Great area, the Gorge in Watkins Glen, Wineries.

Just returned from a wonderful road trip with the family. It was nice to expose my husband to things I had read and researched that had pushed me to become first vegan and now vegetarian. It has definitely helped me to try to choose more vegan options again. The kids didn't understand a great deal but enjoyed their time with... More

Although you learn about the horror's of farming (super sad), you will then be uplifted by an hour long guided tour around the farm. You then get to wander around on your own after the tour is over. So, for $5 per person, you can spend an entire day on a farm petting and interacting with these wonderful animal. Your... More

such a wonderful caring place. being vegan for 20+ years i was fully aware of the downfalls of factory farming, but it was great to see the sanctuary in action and meet it's goats, sheep, pigs and other rescued farm animals. should be an eye opening experience for meat eaters. Turpentine the turkey was the star of the visit. The... More

Farm Sanctuary was wonderful. I don't have a whole lot to add to the other positive reviews, as they pretty much nailed it, but we had a great time. We did not stay overnight (they offer lodging on the sanctuary), but only did the tour. The countryside was beautiful, at the sanctuary and the area in general. The animals were... More

We chose to visit the Farm Sanctuary out of an add we saw in the tourism book. Had no idea how much more we would get out of it than thinking it would be like a petting zoo. You go on a tour of the farm, going right into the pens. The tour guide tells you the stories of some... More

Really enjoyed our visit to Farm Sanctuary. It's a beautiful piece of land and very well maintained. The tour was an hour and gave a chance to hang out with all the animals there. The guides were very friendly and seemed to really love working there. I had originally thought we would stay out there for more time, but it... More
