On our Wine tour we got to this winery soon after it was opening, so it was nice because we were the only two visitors at the time. We had a very nice tasting, they also let us try some cheese that was very good. The waitresses for the restaurant were dressed like Bavarian wenches. It was a cute atmosphere...

We particularly loved the wonderful presentation and friendly staff at this stop. The food and wine pairing was delicious as were all the stops on the Deck the Halls tour- what an effort by Castel Grisch and the Deck the Halls Seneca wine tour host wineries.

My wife's chicken salad sandwich could not have been more generic. My bratwurst was not cooked to order. You could come just for the...

Castel Grisch has a lovely setting on the top of one of the hills overlooking Seneca Lake. The view is beautiful. This time of the year the air is perfumed with the fragance of ripe grapes. The dining room is attractive and cozy.
Unforunately the food or at least the Weinerschnitzel (sp?) was poor. The coating on the veal was...

Castel Grisch is a gem of a winery and a fantastic German resturant. The food is superb, atmosphere cozy, view of the lake is breathtaking, and the staff knowlegable, friendly and attentive. It is a "must stop" when you visit the wine county of New York State
