Great massage in a very authentic African setting

The spa is a really hole-in-the-wall place (like most establishments in Stone Town), but it's very nicely done up from inside (quite quaint). Great selection of exotic oils and... read more

The spa is a really hole-in-the-wall place (like most establishments in Stone Town), but it's very nicely done up from inside (quite quaint). Great selection of exotic oils and body scrubs. Their aromatherapy massage was great, I was snoring in no time. My wife got a body scrub which she really enjoyed as well. Almost forgot to mention, it's pretty... More

This place is so cute, I loved all the local, handmade products in their shop and the 60 minute massage I received from Fatima was on point and super affordable ($45 US). If you get a massage make sure you request a towel to be placed on the headrest, otherwise your face is probably resting where 1,000 other people's has... More

I've visited a few times and always enjoy my treatments. Asha, the blind masseuse, has wonderful hands. They have a range of different treatments and local spa products. The spa is set in a small building in the heart of stone town and while there is local music softly playing, there is also the chatter and activities of the streets... More

The first impression was amazing. You enter and you find yourself in a very feminine place. The girls are wearing beautiful and clean uniforms. They are always busy, preparing some homemade cosmetics or taking care of the customers. The menu is very interesting, you can find many typical zanzibarian treatments, also well priced. They have also small boutique with some... More

Was really looking for a good scrub and massage after a long day of touring and this was the place! It is pretty traditional but still professional. Love the place, it's very nicely decorated. Don't expect a modern five-star hotel luxury spa, but it's still very good. The products are all local and smell amazing. A great place for a... More

I read the negative reviews of Mrembo Spa with horror. If you want a sterile, artificial, chemically enhanced experience then this is not for you. The Spa is in an old building, lovingly and tastefully restored. Clinical it is not, but full of history and charm it is. My friend and I had our massages and singo scrubs as the... More

This place is a must in Stone Town. The treatments use natural flowers, oils, spices and butters. Don't expect a sterile environment, you won't get a pampering like this one anywhere else in the world! My skin was so soft after the treatment - I want to go back.

This is the real thing! Do not expect a classical spa experience, this place really focuses on local beauty wisdom in a very cosy environment.

This was just what l needed. After climbing Mt Meru two days ago, my legs reached a new level of muscle ache. Had a perfect massage of a deaf mister who put in all the effort he could! The price (more then half of Cinnamon) is fair! Can reccomend

I went on my own to this spa and couldn't have felt more relaxed and welcomed on entering. I chose the one hour massage which was excellent and the masseur was very professional. It was the perfect anecdote to the bustling streets. Would certainly recommend and return there myself.
