We went here every night during our 3 night stay in Stone Town. The vibe and atmosphere was brilliant. We had the Zanzibari Pizzas from Mr Big Bananas stand. They were delicious and also very well priced. We tried the nutella and banana, chicken, mushroom only, vegetable and cheese. All were good! The sugar cane juice stand to his left... More

The way the food is displayed is awesome. Prices are somewhat on the high side for local dishes but you here for the experience. It would help to negotiate abit if you feel somewhat cheated..:-)

Go out in the evenings where they set up all sorts of bbq food (meat and fish) and fresh juices. Didn't try the meats but the sugar cane juice was great.

Okay, so the night market on its own is very interesting to visit - lively, great options for "street food", and is centrally located for tourists. The not-so-great thing? The vendors, fly-catchers, beach-boys, and addicts are all there to "get a piece", so you have to have your game face on if you are even slightly interested in purchasing any... More

I know it's written everywhere to do this and eat at the market. So we did. The food is ok, I guess try to go as early as possible to get food warmer and more fresh. My boyfriend had tandoori chicken which was reheated on the bbq but tasted awful so threw it out. Many locals favour the place later... More

At night, Forodhani Park transforms into a vibrant hub with locals setting up food stalls that sell a variety of exotic food. We tried the Zanzibari pizza and it was great. The food is prepared to order and it's fun to chat with the cook while he goes about making your food. Definitely not something you'd want to miss out... More

Forodhani Park on the waterfront in Stone Town has the ravishing and exciting dinner Forodhani Market every night. It's a bit pricy but truly exotic and NOT to be missed!
