Eat the Fresh Seafood

Exclenet fresh seafood on the street stalls, a glance at the locals' leisure activities, and... basically, this is it :)

I love the night market here! So many types of food, people and the sunsets, oh the sunsets! Missing out on this park is not a good idea.

This is a relaxing place as you feel the breeze of the Indian Ocean. There is free wi-fi but not very reliable

Full of people in the evening (lots of teenagers). There is also a food market where you can eat at a cheap price. Gardens itself not very impressive, nice because of the atmosphere

Although the locals buy from vendors the quality and the price has changed from my previous visit 8 years ago my husband local so travels home frequently. Unlike myself was disappointed at the hike up in price and also quality of the food. Was pleased though that the gardens had been developed and improved much nicer than before.

Forodhani is a lovely tranquil place to chill for a while and enjoy some soda and tea and enjoy the scenery. The park is adjacent to the Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the Museum. During the day it is peaceful and quite but at night it becomes a hub of activity. There are food stalls everywhere and you... More

No great scenery, but at night, the local people come out to eat at the food stands. Dozens of food stands with lots of interesting looking, freshly made dishes.

Nothing much really. In the evening with the night market the place is a buzz - it seemed to be largely food of all types.

Forodhani is definitely worthwhile to visit - great place to catch the sunset, watch the local kids engage in diving acrobatics in the evening and to try some local cuisine. Zanzibar pizza is definitely worth a try, though I would caution people in trying the various seafood on the offerings. The best part of the park is that it has... More
