I originally booked this tour while still in Canada, it was intended to be a half day tour, however, while on a cruise ship we met another couple who wanted to join us, Robert at Eco & Culture tours accommodated us and dropped the price from $30 to $20 USD per person. We were met at the port gates at... More

We booked all our transfers and tours through Robert at Eco& Culture Tours. We went on three tours - Stone Town, Prison Island and Jozani Forest and were well pleased with the service we had on these and our transfers. All our guides and drivers were excellent, especially Musa and Alli. Musa was exceptionally knowledgeable and we learned a lot... More

Imagine topping your Zanzibar holiday with a safari before heading home from Dar. Light aircraft offer to fly you directly from Znz to airstrips in the game parks, and further to Dar (or the other way around) . But not with your heavy dive bag, as the small Cessnas operated by Coastal air limit your luggage to 15 kg. No... More

My husband and I were staying at one of the resorts on the East Coast in Dec 2014, and decided to venture into Stone Town for a half day. We booked Eco & Culture Tours, hoping it would be an informative tour, and a unique way of learning more about the history and culture of Zanzibar. What a disappointment! We... More

We booked a spice farm tour at Eco & Culture Tours and it was above expectation! It was a private tour with guide Musa. He really knew everything about the trees, fruits and spices, and as we knew nothing we felt quite stupid but learned a lot.. ;) After the tour we had lunch at a local home in a... More

I visited Zanzibar for work in late August 2014, but booked a few extra days as annual leave so that I would also get a chance to explore the island while I was there. As I had very little time, I booked my tours in advance to ensure that I would get to see everything that I wanted to. As... More

We booked a spice farm tour and a trip to the Jozani forest through Eco & Culture tours during our trip to Zanzibar. The spice tour was excellent and our guide was supremely knowledgeable. A driver picked us up from our hotel (even though we were on the far east side of the island) and drove us to the farm.... More

So a friend and I booked a trip with Eco and Cultural Tours. A Safari Trip then ending in Zanzibar for relaxing beach time. We just gave them the dates of when we were available and what we wanted to do and Eco and Cultural Tours organized everything. It was amazing! The safari portion was unreal! We spent 6 days... Quite disappointed with our three days in Stone Town- we did the Unguja Ukuu, Stone Town City and Prison Island tours. We had the same guide (Moussa) provided by Eco & Culture Tours. His knowledge was acceptable but not outstanding for the city tour but for the other two, really didn't provide any useful information- basically he was there as... More

Its just maybe not what I expected but wasn't no good and probably worth the $15's. You just walk around a display farm and see different spices growing. The guide is text book knowledgable but you don't here much about the spices themselves just the plants. They make you brackets, glasses, ties and necklaces out of banana leaves (I think... More
