We used Eco Tours to organise a day out. I wanted to see the CoIumbus Monkeys in Jozani Forest Forest and the a Giant Tortoises at Prison Island. I emailed Eco Tours Nd they responded quickly. Since our hotel was on east coast of the island they suggested we done both in same day. They collected us promptly at 9am... More

We did the trip to Prison Island near Zanzibar and were really disappointed. For the two of us they charged $70. David picked us up at the hostel. He is a nice guy with sufficient English skills. On the dhow ride to the island he told us a bit about the island's history, but we learned nothing that we hadn't... More

We booked four tours with Eco and Culture in advance, namely: Sunset Dhow Cruise, Prison Island, Stonetown Tour and the Spice Farm Tour. Amhed was our tour guide for all these tours, he was extremely knowledgeable on every tour, prompt, and went out of his way to make sure we saw and did everything we wanted to do. He even... More

Had a gorgeous day which started with a prompt pick up by our driver who drove us to the village where we were to take the boat from. Unfortunately when we arrived the guide told us our boat was stuck in the sand so we had to join another group of 2 ladies, which was fine by us. Started with... More

We did the east coast tour of Zanzibar with Eco and Cultural Tours and were absolutely satisfied with all aspects of the tour. The tour lasted a full day and included visits to an 11th century mosque, Jozani Forest and several other spots. We also went to The Rock Restaurant for lunch along the way. Due to my stuffing up... Eco & Culture Tours and guide Mussa Shaaban made my short visit to Stone Town Zanzibar a memorable experience. Mussa not only showed me the "must see sights" - House of Wonders, Sultans Palace, but also the local fish and meat market. His knowledge and explanation of Zanzibar's past, present and future helped me better understand this island's unique culture... More

WOW!!! The best experience, and an absolute must when coming to Zanzibar. With Eco and Culture tours we were taken to a beautiful eco friendly, deserted island where we spent the day swimming and snorkelling while a lunch was prepared for us. Snacks were cut up fruit and coconut strips. We went cave exploring and our knowledgeable guide and all... More

We loved the experience we had with Eco&Culture Tours Zanzibar, and we definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in a truly paradise escape that feels a bit more authentic and real than the big luxury resorts or other organized trips. We decided to do the very special day boat trip in Unguja Ukuu village, far off the tourists tracks;... More
