Grand Baie bazaar is good to roam around. You will get to see some night light with good pub and disco (Mauritius otherwise closes very early). Also, during day time, you can find some local tour operators which can take you to different tourist attraction places with comparatively low cost. You can also find hotels, bars, pizza outlets, McD etc.

We came across this bazaar and went and had a look. Compared to some others I have been to this one was clean and pleasant. As usual if you want to by something be ready to negotiate as the prices can be quite high and they will all negotiate a better price. You also my first want to walk through... More

I was totally unimpressed by the fakes and cheap quality items sold at Grand Baie Bazaar. I expected goods from the local market and not cheap imports. The stalls are too small and trust me if it's hot you will be very uncomfortable shopping there as there are no fans in any of the stalls. The stall holders are very... More

Not a happy place! Enclosed flea market with tiny stalls mostly all selling the same item. Harassed into buying. prices marked can quickly be reduced when you refuse purchase. Expected much more diverse items rather than exactly the same items I can buy from our local Chinese mall. Beware of copies and clones that are introduced as quality originals!!! More... More

We visited the Bazaar during our stay at Le Mauricia hotel. It's a 15 min walk from the hotel. We bought may souvenirs and we supported the stall where a deaf guy made personalized souvenirs on wood.

Went to the bazaar to look for bargain of local product and craft. We were happy initially as we thought we got a good bargain from the staff we bought. In fact most handicraft items like bags, hand carriers, souvenirs, teas, scents can be found at nearby Super U. The only bargain items is some Mauritius wear we bought at shop... More
