Too many of the stalls have the same items, use your bargaining skills to get the best deals. Some locals can be loud and force a sale, use your discretion and say no if need be.

Very good selection of high quality clothes. Sellers are not as pushy and some have prices on their items which make you feel like you aren't being ripped off. Beautiful henna art. We didn't see any fruit and vegetables here.

Good choice here although it is a little tucked away. As other reviews say, make sure you barter - we got a reduction on everything including an embroidered tablecloth and 12 napkins which started at £90 and we got for £30. Less manioc than Port Louis although EVERY stallholder will approach you and start trying to convince you to buy... More

We have been here twice now and you really need to haggle. They all sell similar or the same stuff so you need to get the best price. The sellers are 'in you face' trying to sell their goods but just keep walking! Great place though, and at the back there are some small animals in cages (ahh). There is a... More

Expect knockoffs- from Diesel T shirts to Billabong shorts, Indian saris and sunglasses- but you will find an amazing selection of souvenirs. Not necessarily at bargain prices- so proceed with caution with these charming traders! You need to barter and discount their offering price by at least 50% as a start! But it is an enjoyable morning visit. Take cash... More

I accidently happened to be here and curiously roamed in bazaar to see what all they offer! The place is good to hang around on a lazy day if you are in Grand Bay Area. There are several shops around making you easy for shopping. Prices were found to be on higher side, May be it is tourist destination.

The Grand Baie Bazaar was truly an experience. The market holders were friendly although a little pushy but that is the culture and as tourists we should expect it. We did make purchases of items we had previously decided upon and the sellers were extremely helpful. We could even return it if we weren't happy with our purchase the next... More

Great bazaar to visit, however once its known that you're a tourist, prices are escalated immensely. Bargain and there are great deals to be got...

The variety of wares sold, the sea of humanity and the riot of colours, add to that the occasional afternoon rain, and you get the perfect recipe for a mad mad market. You have to bargain. Good deals can be made :)
