It was a treat to visit the Parrish Art Museum. The visit starts with the museum’s impressive architectural design, complemented by two huge outdoor sculptures. Inside the art is well spaced, with a design that is very complementary. There is a wide variety of artistic media on display. A highlight inside the museum was amazing works by Tara Donovan. I... Beautiful new space with extraordinary exhibits, which change periodically. A must on a Hamptons visit.

Where to begin?! This newish museum, so conveniently located, right off the Montauk Highway, in lovely, bucolic Water Mill, New York, is well worth the trip from anywhere. The architecture is brilliant; the art inside is wonderful eclectic; there are many interesting programs, from yoga to painting to music to surfing films; the gift shop is packed with cool stuff;... Came today, Wednesday. It was a "free" day. Regular price is $10. Very good price to see great art pieces. They have special exhibitions plus permanent ones. I have become addicted to art museums and I really enjoyed this one. Not very big, but very creative styles & thoughts. Again, I really enjoyed this gallery.

The Parrish was creatively designed by Herzog and de Meron, world famous art museum architects of Tate Modern, etc. The one floor structure sits on a grassy field looking, well, like a giant barn. The permanent collection is small and a visit of an hour will be enough. The special exhibits are well curated, but not at all spectacular. This... More

The new Parrish rises from the potato fields and creates a new, much needed space for an interesting collection. The bench built into the outer wall, the leafy parking lot, the use of natural wood all contribute to a wonderful new building for a venerable museu

I'm the proud father of a teenage daughter and have 3 great nephews/niece (triplets) that return to Sag Harbor every August. Besides being 2 months apart in age and the best of cousins, what do these kids have in common? "I'm bored!" Their anthem. The Parrish Art Museum was an extraordinary hour or so distraction that turned into genuine enjoyment... More

While driving to a winery, my husband and I saw this interesting looking museum and stopped in. We were pleasantly surprised to find this open airy modern building with a wonderful assortment of exhibits. They also have a lovely shop and cafe to visit.
