Clean, large but not too large to walk. Great animals, nice staff, just a lovely place to visit and enjoy animal watching.

Sometimes we don't realize what we have in our own back yard until we have to entertain. Had family stay with us for the weekend recently so we head to the Zoo since we live close by. We have a excellent Zoo for a city our size, and they are constantly upgrading and making things better. It is clean and... More

I will often visit this zoo every year because some of my family is based in Syracuse. It's a nice zoo and well laid out. Sometimes it seems like the animals can be hard to find or they are sleeping. That can be a "bummer" for the kids. The penguin pool is wonderful and there are places you can view... More

A very nice and clean zoo and fun to visit year round. I only wish it were open longer, or different hours to allow those of us who work similar hours to visit without taking time off work. We had annual passes when the kids were little and I worked part time. I drive by to and from work every... More

I grew up in Syracuse and we made frequent trips to this zoo when I was younger and I was in love with it then. Last summer, I visited this zoo again for the first time since I lived in Syracuse (live about 1 1/2 hour away now). I thought maybe it wouldn't feel the same that it did since... More

This is a beautiful zoo, aquarium, aviary attraction and is well worth a visit even in winter. A diverse and exotic collection of very well housed and obviously happy captives both indoors and out. We visited on a bitterly cold and snowy March day with three cynical teen boys who despite complaints put away their electronics for a couple of... More

The zoo is very well done, the animals look happy which is not seen everywhere, the displays are interesting and a nice way to spend the day. Diverse set up of the landscape so that you can have sun and shade. Very pleasant
