A very nice zoo. Went primarily to see the baby elephant which we did even though didn't get a really good view as they were all waiting to go inside! Also saw the baby red pandas who were adorable. Very well kept. Nice gift shop and helpful staff. Not expensive to go to the zoo.

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is about a two hour visit. Highlights are: Asian elephants, Siberian tigers, patas monkeys, snow leopards, and Humboldt penguins. I highly recommend the camps and classes offered for young children. Family membership of about $80 gave us unlimited admission for a year.

I was born in Syracuse and visited here a lot as a child. When I had children, they loved it too. We moved to the Albany area in 1983 , so the visits became much less frequent. My younger son, who lives near us with his wife and twin sons, just took their first long excursion as a young family... More

We found this by accident and so happy we did! Our toddler was a tad young for some of this, but the walk around the outside was beautiful and staff were amazing. Wonderful find!

I shouldn't go to zoos since I always find some animal to feel sorry for, but putting that aside it was a good afternoon trip. I never expected a zoo in Syracuse! We visited with a 2 1/2 year old and she was able to walk most of the way around herself and was thoroughly entertained. Nice outdoor boardwalks make... More

Very nice zoo with clean grounds and friendly staff. Animal exhibits are modern and large. Three year old granddaughter loved it.

I've been to a few small city zoos and they are mostly pretty bad. Not the Rosamond. Great exhibits that are always in a state of improvement. Animals are very well cared for. Great place to take the kids. Lots of room for the well cared for animals. Nice that veterans can get in free. Great little zoo.

Extremely affordable. $4 for the kids to get in $8 for adults. Only about an hour worth of stuff to see at this zoo. Seems well kept. The kids enjoy

Nice family zoo, the front of zoo has a lot of animals in nice walking area, but the back of the zoo is a long walk to view the animals and alot of the time they are hidden. If you like to walk then enjoy the back of the zoo, if you have a problem with walking then i would... More

As a retired Navy Veteran, I really appreciated the discount they provided me. I and 3 guests were free, and they thanked me for my service. My grandchildren really enjoyed the elephants and penguins. I enjoyed the layout of the zoo, with a bit of walking a circular trail, you end up back at the entrance. There were activities for...
