I'm not really from this area, but stopped by since I was visiting the mall in Syracuse. The Zoo is big, although they do not have the variety of animals I thought I would see. But my children enjoyed it.

Even without our kids, my husband and I really enjoyed our visit to the zoo. There were alot more exhibits than we expected. Monkeys were the highlight!

We had some time in our son's college visits to kill, so we decided to visit the Syracuse Zoo. We didn't expect much and frankly I was worried about how the animals would living. When we arrived at the zoo, I could see that a lot of money was funded to keep up the facility. The animals were in mostly... More

I lived in Syracuse, NY about 2 miles from Rosamond Gifford Zoo. I haven't been there for a few years. I used to go frequently when I took families to zoo in my job. I like this zoo, it's a breeding zoo and have mostly natural habitats. If you looking for polar bears, gorillas, giraffes, rhinos, etc you'll be disappointed... More

I was at the zoo with my children in October and we really enjoyed it and had a great time seeing all the animals. They have a large variety inside so it's a nice place to go on a rainy day but they also have an outdoor trail that takes you up to see the outdoor animals. It's very nice... More

On a slow Thursday we brought the kids to the zoo. The animal areas were nice and well maintained as usual. At noon we went to the cafe seating area to eat the lunch we brought with us. The area was absolutely unbelievably filthy. All of the tables were dirty and sticky. There was trash and refuse literally all over... More

Great value for a zoo! It's smaller, so we walked it twice each time we went (July and Oct). We went to the Zoo Boo for Halloween and I have to say it was really well organized. There were a lot of people but it didn't feel crowded and we didn't wait in line at the stations for more than... More

Have spent time there with my children as they were growing up and all 5 of my grand children. They are building new environments and buildings to present animals. Its a wonderful, interesting, informative afternoon to spend with young children.

We thought the Rosamond Gifford Zoo was an excellent value for the admission price and a lot of fun! The cost to get in is quite reasonable, and if you visit 3 or more times a year it is worth it to purchase a membership. On our first visit, we were very impressed by the number of exhibits and things... More
