Over the last 4 years, my husband and I have been to several shows at Syracuse Stage, both musicals and dramas. It is always a treat to go to a show there. The theater is on the smaller side (but not tiny) which allows you to feel "up close and personal" with what is going on on-stage. The sound system... More

Great plays with terrific actors. It is hard to believe that such a quality theater exists in a town the size of Syracuse. Highly recommended.

I just saw The Glass Menagerie, my first show to see at Syracuse Stage. It was a terrific performance. I really liked the set, and the actors were excellent in their roles. I was in row K in the center and had a good view of the stage.

Terrific professional regional theater with periodic Broadway actors and strong variety of plays. We've been going for 30+ years and always get season tickets. I sometimes disagree with the choice of plays, but, then, I always learn and am enriched if not entertained.

Outstanding!!! Professional theatre in a small city that can rival that of any professional theatre anywhere!

As an actress I cannot say I think the shows are not great, but it still a fun thing to do! I think the professional plays are probably more fun to see and better, but I tend to go for class or school and supporting people so I have only see student productions and one event called a play that... We have been season ticket holders for Syracuse Stage for over 30 years, This is a professional theater with a wide variety of plays performed. There are actually two different theaters used, one with typical seating and the other with seating in the center, depending on the play and the effect the director is seeking. The actors, sets and directing... More

Visited Syracuse Stage and saw "Blithe Spirit." This theatre is very well run and orderly. It is a collaboration between a professional theatre company and Syracuse University. So the productions often have a mix of professional actors and students from SU's theatre department. Highly recommended.

The play was first rate. Although a bit strange we enjoyed the theater experience the seating was very unusual, audience facing each other.

After sixteen years of living in NYC, I was spoiled, and I sometimes find it hard to enjoy regional theater. So when a friend said we should go see A Midsummer Night's Dream, I wasn't too enthusiastic. Poorly done Shakespeare can make for a long evening. But I sucked it up and went. I was blown away by the caliber... More
