Sylvan beach is a nice one day get away for families looking to entertain their kids. They have a nice amusement park with kiddie rides and lots of fun for older kids too. The beach is nice as well. The town has some restaurants and ice came shops where you can grab something to eat. The parking is cheap, we... More

I've been to plenty of amusement parks to know what to expect and it's unfortunate that the amusement park at Sylvan Beach is in obvious need of some TLC - and I'm not just talking about a fresh coat of paint. Dilapidated buildings, cobwebs, (certainly not for decoration) and leery-looking rides didn't exactly make me want to jump into anything... More

When the parks not open they have restaurants and a flea market and beautiful scenery. The amusement parks great for the kids, even we had fun playing the games and just looking at the lake.

Childrens amusement rides ...Centuries old which we dont mind its all very cute but alot of it seems dirty, you know like noone has used it in months... little tots still loved it.they have a tiny ferries wheel that is very cute. Its has no shade so if its super sunny, seats get really hot. Rest of the park is... More

When of the kast renaining historic parks of it's kind. 100 years ago most lake communities had one. Sits on the bank of Oneida Lake. They have a great sandy beach. No admission to park, but unless you find a free spot on the street, they do charge a small fee for parking, mostly because of the beach. Nice place... More

This is a great place to visit if you have little kids. They have a lot of rides, food, and mini golf. I love walking through the park because it is really nice right on the lake and near the entrance to the village. It is reputedly haunted and Ghost Hunters filmed an episode there. They got an old-fashioned shooting... More

I went for their 4th of July fireworks show and it was meh. To start with the water at the beach was cloudy, green, gross and smelled like a kiddy pool (which is to say a giant piss pot.) There were tons of Mosquitos and the rides at the amusement park were too rickety for me to set foot on.... More

It is a nice place to spend a day away from the city and enjoy Oneida lake which is one of the best lakes in the country for fishing. It is a quiet and friendly place with the little amusement park mostly for kids which I would say is a plus. There is a parking fee of $1 each hour... More

I love old amusement parks. I travel miles and miles to see quaint, historic places that exude happy childhood memories. Sylvan Beach has some of that. A handful of rickety but nostalgic 1960's era rides - mostly colorful metal structures designed to be portable. A couple of real gems - an ancient metal carousel with an odd menagerie of creatures,... More

Sylvan Beach Amusement Park is a small place on Lake Sylvan, just off the NY Thruway. This park has a nice little assortment of classic rides that are not found in many modern parks. At first glance, they may look a bit dated, but they all are in great working shape and seem well-maintained, although old. I prefer the term... More
