Great Place

Great place to spend a day with the Kids or Grandkids. Zoo is well kept, clean and safe. Easy to get to on SI.. I would visit again.

I've visited the SI Zoo more than 50 times. My first visit was with my father more than 50 years ago. There was no Varazzano bridge then we traveled there on the 69th St Ferry from Brooklyn. What an adventure! Quite a few trips with dad... As soon as I could drive I took dates and my younger sisters to... More

Really best suited for small children- no lions, tigers or elephants. Lots of opportunities to feed and interact with the animals. Several exhibits indoors

Excellent little zoo for a pleasant day for kids up to 13 years of age. Free parking and a very relaxed day for the entire family.

After much convincing my husband finally agreed to go. He had more fun than the baby! The petting zoo was great, even for our one year old. Overall for a small venue in small Staten Island it was a big experience

It's very small but it does have lots of animals for the kids. Great for the family and it's free on Wednesday :)

growing up in Jersey made it an easy trip to this zoo on a regular basis......and we always had a box of Cracker Jack as we walked around........brought my grandson for first time and we really enjoyed it. Had the place to ourselves because the weather was nasty. He loved touching a snake and armadillo. The staff very friendly and... More

This is a cute little zoo that has come a long way since I was a kid. My daughter really enjoyed going here this past summer. It isn't to huge so you get to see everything and are able to get up close to the enclosures. The petting zoo was fun and also being able to pet the snakes. It... More

It's a great zoo but small compared to Bronx zoo and turtleback. Awesome place to take the kids for an hour or two. They have a variety of different animals.

The animals were ever so lively as sign they are well cared for and happy... The place was clean and well maintained.. Not your normal zoo with elephants etc.. But a nice way to spend a day if you are in the area
