My husband and I go out to the vineyards a couple of times a year we recently visited Old Fields for the first time and we were very impressed! It's a friendly family run winery. It's so cozy and they had a nice wood buring stove on while we enjoyed their delicious wine. This place is definitely a must to... More

highly recommend this vineyard for a distinct experience from the big ones. Quiet and casual and interesting wines, with friendly owners and staff.

My friends and I first happened upon The Old Field about 5 years ago on a "girls" trip to the North Fork. After visiting 5 other wineries, this was the last winery of the day and it knocked our socks off! The wine, hospitality and charm were the BEST out of any of the wineries that we had experienced. They... More

If you are looking for a cozy family owned winery look no further! This place is absolutely wonderful! Lots of space, tables a little of a countryside feel... There are chickens and geese roaming around:) Their wine is amazing! We are a part of their wine club and we have never been disappointed. We go there with our friends and... More

This is a true family vineyard not a tax write off. Family owned and run. The wine is as good and in most cases better than any others on Long island, they make a great Rose, Sparkling Wine, and Chardonoony and are happy to share them with you. The owner / winemaker is gracious and happy to share the details of... More

If you're looking for a crowded noisy vineyard packed with generation x singles, don't go here. If you're looking for a smaller, cozy, homey place, check this out. We really liked their sparkling wine and the rustic, friendly setting. Oh, and don't run over any of the free roaming chickens as you drive in!

The only reason my wife and I stopped here was because we biked from Greenport and this was the closest vineyard. And our legs were about to fall off. The wine was mediocre but the staff was very nice. The setting was also unimpressive.

We went here as part of a winery tour and was pleasantly surprised to find a small, lovely, family owned and operated winery. You feel as if you're visiting friends here, and the batches are small and one of the few chardonnays I liked. I would highly recommend this winery.

Nice grounds and chickens and geese a nice touch. Average wine, I think, but it was hard to tell with the small amounts we were offered (in little plastic glasses!). Pours were much more generous, in proper glasses, and with higher quality wine in other wineries we visited.

This winery property is beautiful. The tastings are done in an old barn on the property. There are picnic tables under the trees so you can spend some time there.
