If you go to the light house you will find beautiful grounds, a well maintain light house and lots of interesting history. What you wont find is a bathroom and don't make the same mistake I did by thinking the sign means it is for museum visitors. I went to use the outside bathroom which did have a sign on... More

Very interesting tour. Fun to climb to the top of the Lighthouse and to see out on Lake Ontario and Sodus Bay. Lots of history and guides made it enjoyable.

Spent the day in Sodus Point. Sat outside the lighthouse on the nicely landscaped grounds. A wedding had just taken place- the weather was perfect. Will have to go inside next time.

We liked the guides choice of long or short version of the history lesson. Also, liked the view from the top of the light house.

My husband and I stopped here to just relax and enjoy the view. There wasn't anybody else around so it was really peaceful. The day was gorgeous. The view spectacular. Coming back here again

We recently visited the Sodus Point Lighthouse. It was our last Lake Ontario Lighthouse to see. The sun was shining, the water was a brilliant blue, and the lighthouse is the perfect addition to such a beautiful spot. There is a museum with a guide and a small gift shop, too.

This day they had a wedding party on site and the ceremony in front of the arch with flowers and the water, truly a special place to start a relationship. As lighthouse fans, we were there for the tour, and enjoyed the climb to the tower and all it held. Nice gift shop and friendly volunteers make the place a... More

The lighthouse is not very tall and the museum is fairly small. But the guide Tim was very engaging and made the visit very enjoyable and fun. The $4 admission was worth it. The garden and the view of the lake gave it a really pretty setting.

a gem of a small museum that takes the visitor back to an earlier era. Lovely small gift shop. Most of all a MOST relaxing place to spend an afternoon of peace and tranquility. Bring a picnic lunch (Stop at the ALton Coffee Cup and get one to go). Or if there on a Sunday afternoon, delight in a free... More

I was there in the off season (late april), so it was not accessible. There are 2 light houses,so be sure to visit both. The white one near the beach and this one which has a museum and a beautiful view of the lake.
