This lake offers amazing views, terrific dining experiences and stellar shopping. The geography is the best that Central NY can offer. A great destination for a long weekend.

Water was so clear you could see the fish swimming along 4-5' down. Kids could swim safely with lifeguards watching; lots of benches, grass & shade around the lake.

Skaneateles Lake and Village are two of the best stops to make in the Finger Lakes region. The lake is tranquil and crystal clear and the Village is quaint with local shops and restaurants and not the chains that can be found everywhere. Many great wineries are only a short drive from the Village.

Quaint town but very upscale and if you love the water like we do, you will not find anywhere to experience the lake unless you rent or bring a boat or swim in a very, very small swimming area. Maybe we are spoiled since where we live in the upstate of SC, you can swim in a multitude of lakes... More

Not a more beautiful spot. Be sure to get on a boat (rental or cruise) and take in the great shops and restaurants

We were lucky to be at the lake on a picture perfect day with blue skies, warm temps and no humidity. It's nice to just walk around the town and pop into all of the little shops. There is a long pier that is great to venture out on. The beach area is small it there are benches for just... More

There is a nice Museum here that is run by the historical society. It is open on Friday and Saturday from 1-4. Many wooden sail and other boats were built here over the years and they have a nice selection of restored boats in the museum. Many things to see and do in this town including a beautiful vineyard(Anyela's) and... More

We stopped here on our way from NY to Niagara falls. Best option is buy awesome sandwiches at doug's fish fry, some dessert at the patisserie in Hannun Street and take it all to enjoy this brunch with the lake view. There are many place to sit and enjoy the view with qite excellent brunch too.

A crystal clear winter day! We walked on the frozen lake, and enjoyed the quietness of a winter day!
