One of the best beaches in the area... In the summer love the Beach Hut for nightly entertainment... TWA 800 memorial on premises too... Smith Point is always worth the visit... for sun and fun... clean and family friendly... plenty of parking too.... but very limited handicap parking right by beach house/beach hut...

Great beach. Very clean and not too crowded. Plenty of very capable, award winning, lifeguards on duty. Very good Beach Hut. Food is reasonable and freshly prepared. Also live bands and dancing on various nights during the week.

I grew up in the area and spent many weekends here and it never got old. Great Beach and Great Board Walk. With the recently added TWA Flight 800 Memorial off the boardwalk it is only another great reason to come to this park. Camping, Swimming, Food, Relaxation, and Great events throughout the year.

Due to recent storms smith point county park has become eroded from storm damage. The beach itself is starting to vanish, but the amenities such as the bathhouse and concession stand remain. Those wishing to daytrip, the outer beach is open for 4 x 4 recreational vehicle use as the county sees fit. There is additional fees and equipment needed... More

This is a beautiful beach for a day trip but I would strongly recommend anyone to avoid the campground. The facilities are poorly maintained and the campsites so tight together the campground has a parking lot feeling. Yet what drove me to write this review was our awful experience with the management. My family and I were camping there for... More

This beach is a fun place to visit because during the day there is the ocean to keep the kids entertained & on some evenings in the summer, there are different bands at the Beach Hut for the adults.

15$ to park. Incredibly ridiculous-Disney charges less for parking!! Not worth the money. Stick with fire island! Will never return here.

I've camped out here a few times and look forward to another run soon. There are many sites where you have a view of the beach with the waves rolling in. I never tried for those and last week some of those sites were unoccupied. I was surprised. It's still early in the season but, wow! That was spectacular. Very... More

The incident is chronicled in online videos, pictures, news stories and email accounts. It's a truly humble testament to remembering the ill-fated airline travelers crossing the Atlantic for all different reasons. Most impressive is the international array of citizen-represented flags with the ocean waves heard in the background.
