I saw this just before the flowers bloomed, so I did not experience the full impact. The beds are laid out classically, and obviously a lot of love has gone into this community project. I hope to go back when the roses are blooming and the fountain is flowing. I went to college in Schenectady, and had not idea this... More

A gem in Central Park. It's always lovely to see all the different varieties of roses that are in bloom at the Rose Garden. A nice place to relax, take some pictures and enjoy the beauty of nature. Check in out while you're in the area.

I grew up in this park and loved to see the transformation of the bleak garden from the winter to the spring time when the flowers were blooming... Roses are labeled and grouped together beautifully and the accent pieces throughout the garden are pretty too. The dedicated stones keep you looking down at your feet to see all of the... More

This rose garden has won an award as one of the top three public rose gardens in the country, behind a much larger San Jose CA, and Syracuse, NY. Over 3500 bushes in this hidden jewell in the City of Schenectady, well worth the trip if you're in the area.

Incredibly beautiful varieties of roses in a very peaceful and restorative setting. Easy to walk around and admire the many roses, or just sit and relax.

Each year I ride my bike to the rose garden and take some time to smell the roses and look at all the beautiful colors. I am amazed the roses are still blooming in October. There are benches in the garden so it's a nice place to hang out and read or people watch. I have had nice spur of... More

This garden is definitely worth seeing in the summer months. The volunteers do an amazing job caring for a wide variety of roses.

Central Park in Schenectady is a beautiful place to walk, sit, or play/watch tennis or catch a show at the pavilion in season. The rose garden is wonderful, a highlight of an extremely enjoyqble city park. Near the Upper Union neighborhood with a number of great restaurants.

A wonderful location for wedding photos. We enjoyed walking through the garden, enjoying the multitude of varieties, colors and scents with our almost five year old grandson. He enjoyed sniffing the roses and picking up petals from the ground. A nice venue for all ages.
