We only had a chance to see one small exhibit because the staff was in the middle of prepping the next big exhibition. However, we were warmly welcomed in to see what we could see and we were fortunate enough to run into an art department professor who gave us a wonderful history and background on this up and coming... This museum always has different installations and is always awesome. I lived in the area my whole life and never went until a few years ago. I was looking for a place to take my step-son because he was sick of the Empire State Museum but he loves museums. We took him here and he had a blast! I was... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to the museum. In addition to our exhibitions, we also have family-friendly art-making activities on Saturdays that are free and open to the public. Just call the museum at 518-580-8080 to see if an activity is happening on a Saturday when you want to visit and to make a reservation. More

I visited during the exhibition of their students work and was blown away by the quality shown. The work was very varied and interesting and I must congratulate the students on a job well done. I enjoyed their work as much as, if not more than the works I have seen at some major museums such as the Guggenheim or... More

I recently visited the Tang Museum while I was on a date before dinner. It was actually a lot of fun and had some really unique art. It was kind of small but it is part of Skidmore College and overall very cool. I will definitely be checking more out at Tang!

This small museum is a delight. The building itself is worth seeing from both the outside and the inside and the exhibits of art by students, faculty, and others are interesting and worth seeing. The museum also has a small gift shop with some excellent crafts and gifts. My wife found a beautiful pair of handcrafted earrings.

The Tang Museum is very easy to get to (just keep going down Broadway) and there is plenty of free parking. There are several galleries with rotating exhibits. We visited on a Saturday and there were plenty of knowledgeable staff around the exhibits. We spent about an hour walking around. It felt like they could have fit more into the... More
