Midwinter visit

They were between major exhibits, but what was there was interesting, and we've enjoyed more complete shows in the past. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Thanks for visiting and for the five-star review. I do hope you can make it back. Our new exhibitions open Saturday, February 6, with a public reception. More

I am a Skidmore Alum and I love the teaching Museum. Although I was not an Art major, I always frequented the exhibits, events, and teaching workshops. A must visit when in the Saratoga Area

I am not into modern art as I know it, but this museum is a hidden jewel. They offer such an amazing perspective as to what can be considered art. The variety of items that were on display were amazing...it wasn't just your typical painting after painting on the wall. Make sure to participate in a tour of the museum.... More

Four shows change several times a year. 2- and 3- dimensional art plus music, video, dance more! Helpful docents. Lovely gift shop. Lots of free parking.

Museum on the campus of Skidmore College that presents an array of new art forms and techniques. Apparently used by students to develop their own artistic talents and explore these trends. Some very interesting material. However, if you look at the information for Skidmore College, you may see references to European Masters' paintings in the College collection, but these are... More

I absolutely love the Tang Museum and make it a point to visit every time I'm in Saratoga. The only complaint I have is the uncomfortable feeling I got from the art nazi that followed us around like we were about to commit the next largest heist in history. Hopefully next time that issue will have been resolved.

Not a huge gallery but modern and interesting. The staff are great and delighted to give you info on the exhibition. Nice place to visit on an afternoon in Saratoga springs.

Great museum with a flair for multimedia. We saw an exhibit on sounds that explored the space and encouraged outside the box thinking. Loved the "card catalog" of sounds.

I went to College at Skidmore and this museum was not there when I attended. I did recently visit and it was small, had interesting pieces but not really much on display. I felt as if I must have missed a floor or something but it was just small. It seemed the staff was not informed about the pieces or... More

The Tang Museum is a gem!! If you get the opportunity, you should make this one of your stops! It sits on the pristine lawns of Skidmore College Campus right next to a relaxing pond. It's free to the public and the exhibits are from artists all over the world. Really top notch! Worth your time and wonderful grounds. Also... More
