Since they only seat 5,000 people, chances are if you're seeing a popular show, you'll be in a lawn seat. They screens they put around then venue are not clear at all and dated. You can hardly see anything on them. The sound isn't very great on the law. Either. We saw Dave Matthews and left after the 1st set.... More

I liked that it was in a lovely park setting and everyone was congenial. I disliked that there were too many tobacco users who had no problem directing their smoke (and butt litter) at those of us who do not smoke. This should have been a non-smoking event. In fact, this entire park should be a non-smoking venue.

My family has been coming since the whole Jazz Festival began and I have been since 1992. This is a great venue for it and they do a great job hosting. The grounds are beautiful and the setup is great. Visiting the Jazz Festival here is an absolute must. Can't wait until next year!

Most popular outdoor grounds and amphitheater venue for music. Fabulous jazz festival with choice of decent food. many people picnic and bring their own chairs, tables, tents. Plenty of bathroom stalls for women. Never had to wait. Free parking.

Great venue. The scenery is beautiful. Both the orchestra and ballet are worth the trip. Dinner at Hall of Springs rounds out a perfect evening.

This was a tour that attracted a large number of young fans 13 to early 20. The amount of underage drinking and drug use was out of control. You could not walk 2 feet without seeing a young teenager puking, falling over, or passed out. Staff was making little to no attempt to limit the activity. At one point, the... More

My husband and I went to SPAC Friday night to hear Frey and Train, who were both fantastic by the way! SPAC has great acoustics and is one of my favorite venues to hear a concert. I would definitely recommend to get a seat if you want to see the concert well though. Lawn seats aren't bad but the way... More

Here for Train and The Fray. Great place with a spectacular lawn. Can't believe they allow smoking though.

We were there for our sons graduation from Albany Law School and the facilities were perfect for the occasion. Great acoustics and well kept grounds.

This amphitheater is located in the state reservation in SS. It is surrounded by beautul pine trees and lush lawns. It was a lovely venue for the local college graduation ceremony, though not easily accessible for those with mobility issues. The occasion did not offer an opportunity to truly appreciate the fine acoustics the center is purported to have.
