Whether you are dressing up and having an elegant day or wearing jeans and have a family there are options for everyone. As a European the entry fees of a few bucks seem really inexpensive so it is a great value day out.

If you love the past or horses or racetracks don't miss the opportunity to visit Saratoga Raceway ( the flats...not harness) during racing season ion the summer. Old fashioned musicians, great food areas and exciting racing, plus an old fashioned town with super restaurants

The food we ordered was ok at best ...but SUBSTANTIALLY overpriced. Our seats were behind a wall, could only w see 1/2 of the track. Our table was near the stairs, constant commotion and traffic. They definitly did not have enough servers for the full house that was there

Historic, relax, and enjoy a great day out at the races. I recommend pulling up beach chairs right by the paddock, get there early to get your space (and then comeback). Also enjoy the early morning workouts while you are eating a buffet breakfast.

As a kid who grew up in Albany, Saratoga in August was, and remains, a huge Deal. The atmosphere is electric -. The Horses, the People, the Cars, The Fashions, Fabulous. And, the Food: The Track 's Manhattan Clam Chowder and New England Clam Chowders are known worldwide. Including a version of World Famous Hattie's Fried Chicken Restaurant.

The track is excellent in many ways - a decent card of races, family-friendly, fairly low entry prices, and you can get surprisingly close to the horses. It is atmospheric and well worth a trip. The only niggles are that it is not in top shape, those is being finally renovated and once you are in drinks can be very... More

If you have never been to the Saratoga racetrack in New York you are surely missing out on a flash back in time. This is the oldest race track in America & it has been maintained beautifully. The atmosphere is filled with fun and excitement and of course HORSES! It is extremely affordable to park for only five dollars in... More

A summer experience not to be missed. Be sure to do the morning backstretch tour. A great way to see the horses working out and to learn about what goes into a race. We are locals who brave the crowds each year just to enjoy the beautiful facility and grounds. Love to watch the horses and people (the rich and... More

Please note that this review is based on enjoyable visits to Saratoga Race Course with family quite a few years ago. My information is not current. Still, it was wonderful and I am sure still is. The area has a park like feel to it. Lots of comfortable outdoor areas for sitting in the shade and enjoying the races. Visitors... More

Run the other way with your money, or just throw it out the window before you get there! This place has the worse payoffs, even the employees complain. Waitress on the floor act like they don't want to be there, look bored, IF you can even find one. Sorry, this place just doesn't cut it.
