I love this track. We went for Travers Week this year but have been at all times in previous years. We normally get there before they open so we can run to get picnic tables but decided against it this year. We rented a table from NYRA this year and would not do it again. The tables were $60 each... More

Saratoga Race Course is a beautiful race course. I make sure to go at least once each season. This is the first year they offered reserved picnic tables for a $60 fee on non-Travers weekends. Unfortunately, the online map of the picnic tables does not show you where the shaded spots are and the one I chose happened to be... More

I've been to Keeneland, but this was my first trip to Saratoga. It was a great track. I'm a novice, but I found it very easy to place the bets. We had a picnic table on the lawn area, but still went indoors to the fence line to watch a few races. Lots of vendors with art and other things... More

Wanted to go during race season all my life and wasn't disappointed. This track and surrounding grounds are clean and well-maintained. Everyone I encountered was friendly, no snobbery! Just people having fun and taking advantage of the glorious, historical treasure they have. I love that management will even allow you to bring a cooler, 6-pack size that can be stowed... More

Few racetracks in America can compare with Saratoga. There is an incredible amount of history here and the track is known for attracting the very best Thoroughbred racehorses on the East Coast. Overall my friend and I were very happy and comfortable. However, on our one day in the grandstand (the other days we had Clubhouse seats) we found that... More

Get there early and snap up a picnic table. Spread out your picnic basket and enjoy the beautiful day at the races. This was our second year and we look forward to many more. The track is beautiful and the people watching is so much fun. We even managed to win a little money.

Huge [free] parking available. Admission fee. Beer is pricey. Plenty of shaded area for children to play in. TV installed in play areas for adults to watch as well. Food trucks. Small shops. exciting atmosphere. People from all aspects of life are there. You can bring your own alcohol in a cooler! No glass though.

Even if you're not into horse racing or betting or having a great time or enjoying a piece of true American history or people watching or enjoying a mint julep a bit early - this place is great! Parking cost close to the track is ridiculous, so if you can use put up with a walk - go for the... More

Great day at an old time old school horse track. The main grandstand has the grandeur and ambience of when she was built in the 1860's. Tradition and heritage are hard to fake and Sartoga does it right.
