Take a walk around the battlefield trail and learn about the rich history of the 1812 warfare, or stroll down the boardwalk in front of officer's row, either way, you'll be impressed with the natural beauty of the area, impressed with the quality of the restorations, and eager to venture deeper into the historic town of Sackets Harbor.

Informational setting relating to the war of 1812 but a couple hours will do it all. There are nice restaurants in Sackets Harbor however. It is a nice little town in which to poke around.
