We love Rye Playland…it is old school with new rides too….it is a relatively small park so you don't feel overwhelmed by the crowds…our kids range in age from 4-15 and they all have fun rides that are age appropriate….the larger parks like 6 flags attract an older rougher crowd which can be intimidating to the little ones which we... I recently took the kids to Rye Playland. We went with 2 other families. There were 5 kids (11,9,7,6,5 yr old). The younger ones liked all of the kiddie rides. The 11 and 9 year old kids only liked the Log Flume and the other water ride. They must have went on those 2 rides about 10 times each. One... More

We went when the weather was supposed to be bad, which probably affects this review. There was NO ONE there and the kids rode all rides without a line. They would get off a ride and get right back on...some rides they wouldn't have to get off. We were there for 5 hours or so, and then went to the... More

Rye in New York in general is a nice place to visit, very quiet and relaxing. Your attention will bring the beach and of course the Playland. There are many rides, and the cost of the ticket is low. It is a fun place. Nice restaurant right outside the park with good food. Just go and enjoy!

I've been wanting to check out this park for many years and may be leaving the area this summer so I took advantage of the great Father's Day offer where I got to ride for free and my son was just $15. Parking was $7. We went on 11 rides together so for $22 total I felt we did pretty... More

We visited Playland yesterday, and were thoroughly impressed with the park. They get the little things as well as the big things right. The park is kept spotlessly clean, and the rides are unique and fun. The ride operators are professional, and it's clear that safety is their primary concern. The impressive part is that the operators are all young... More

This family amusement park was opened in 1923 and has been beautifully restored. It is not Six Flags nor does it want to be. Situated on the Long Island Sound in beautiful Rye, NY it has something for evberyone. A great wooden roller coaster, the original Steeplechase horse race, the Caroselleand kiddy land. Plus the Giant BigWheel with a fantasyic... More
