What a wonderful treat. Clean, safe and fun. We didn't have to pay a fortune for someone that wasn't riding the rides. Old Fashion Theme Park. The Dragon Coaster is the best wooden coaster around. You and walk the beach, have lunch, rides and games.

Took my family up here for the first time. everyone enjoyed the rides. the dragon coaster was so much fun, hands down. the food that were at the concession was overpriced specially for the quality. i would recommend getting the fruit cups. it was a large 16 oz cup fruit cups. those were worth the money. And its healthier than... More

Old theme park, old rides....good memories but scary place now. Many of the rides are very old, especially the wooden roller coaster. I loved this ride as a kid but I can't go on it anymore because 1) it's not designed for overweight or tall people and 2) it's wooden and that itself is scary now. The rides are outdated,... More

We live in Long Island and Manhattan and buy season passes for Adventure Land in Farmingdale for the past two years but last weekend we took a trip to Rye Playland and once i saw how cleen the grounds were, friendly with a great bunch of new and vintage rides I bought season passes for all four of us. The... More

Playland seems different then most other amusement parks I have been to. It is a welcoming environment with good rides for kids of all ages (and adults too). They offer discounts for Westchester County residents and the pass prices are reasonable. We actually bought season passes this year because the kids have some much fun there. You can buy points... Last summer I discovered Rye Playland, one of the oldest iconic amusement parks in the U.S. In fact it's been around since the 1920's. It's located right on the Long Island Sound with a fun little beach and restaurants on the water. The amusement park itself is not too large and has fantastic little rides for 3-5 year olds. My... In the past year, I have visited Hershey park and Dorney park and I was prepared to be let down by this smaller park in comparison. WRONG. First, it is set in a beautiful location on the Long Island sound. There landscaping is beautiful, and the entire location is clean as a whistle. My husband and I arrived too early... More

Our family went to the preview of the new Westchester Children's Museum. It is essentially raw space with the rooms set up for a small sample of what is to come. We brought our 4 and 6 yr old granddaughters and they were kept busy for an hour or so. It's located on prime property on the boardwalk. See pics.... More

What an outstanding time we had at the historic Playland on Sunday, May 17!!!! I brought my 50 year old friend first time visit and we had so much FUN!!!!! The park was offering a special deal - $15 for unlimited rides. We loved the fast horses, bumper cars, boat ride in the dark, the shooting gallery, the rides in... More

I love this place! It's a little dated, but that adds to it's charm. The rides are great, it's right on the water, and the food rivals Coney Island.
