Great snow with wonderful vertical. I had the pleasure of skiing here late in the season(Aprll 4) and was astounded by how nice the conditions were. While on the mountain I had the pleasure of getting to meet the owner. He was simply skiing the mountain and making friends with people enjoying it that day! This is the opposite of... More

This is is an ideal resort for folks looking for a familiar, friendly, cozy place to get some skiing, snowboarding, or tubing in for a reasonable price. My husband and kids learned to snowboard here last year and it definitely helped us cope with the relentless upstate winter! Though there aren't as many trails as some of the bigger establishments,... More

The skiing looked awesome, I went snow tubing and it was fun. The guys that worked there were all really cool. Fun times.

Went snow tubing with 4 adults and 2 children; it was an excellent activity for both the adults and children! The grounds were well-maintained, clean and scenic. The lodge has 3 floors with 2 restaurants; one a simple cafeteria great for families, and one with a largely stocked bar for adults. My family and I were dissatisfied with 2 things...first,... More

My partner and I bought tickets from Liftopia and due to a myriad of issues got to the mountain an hour before closing. The friendly homey atmosphere was great and the staff said we could come back and use the Liftopia voucher towards tickets on another day. They do home cooking there! I am a very sensitive celiac and I... More

The lodge was bustling and fun, just like I'd expect a ski lodge to be. The views were fantastic and the tubing was just entirely too much fun! The guys on the mountain who hooked us up to the lift and spun us from the top were great! A bunch of fun, friendly, good-natured guys who gave us a blast... More

Plattekill offers a nice product, something for everyone at a good price. They have some of the best steep trails, (Northface, Plunge, Freefall & Blockbuster) in the area. They have a nice long green trail off both peaks. Nice bar upstairs in the lodge. Best kept secret in the Catskills.

This place is great! It is definitely a skiers mountain (a little harder to navigate on a snowboard) and probably better for intermediate or advanced skiers. Of course, I only did one green run all day, which was a nice break. The grooming was great, but not over done. You could actually ski the soft snow and have fun. I... More
