Classic sculpture of one of Rochester's most famous citizens in a classy location. Overlooking the impressive Highland Bowl, this statue shares the area with the nearby bust-statue of the greeat German poet, Johann von Goethe.

The statue at the entrance to the park has been standing for a long time. It is very impressive. If you have an interest in Douglass, I'd encourage you to find the little park next to Susan B. Anthony's house where there are beautiful bronze statues of "Susan B" as she is known locally, and Frederick Douglass. They are seated... More
