My wife and I attended a show during the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival and LOVED it. What a beautiful facility in the heart of Rochester. The main singer was able to fill the entire space with his voice, a cappella, and it was stunning.

Good looking and good sounding classic halls with great capacity. The new recital hall has fantastic acoustics and impressive modern design. The music tends to be first class. One cannot ask for much more...

Opened in 1922, with funding from George Eastman, this is an incredible building affiliated with the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester. Home of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Eastman hosts a variety of other programs & performers, ranging from operas to the Rochester International Jazz Festival to high school graduations. The interior is beautiful. The acoustics... More

I have been on many house tours and typically the guide can give you a sense of what it was like to live their and what the life must have been like for the owner. Eastman apparent did great things that I read about, but did not hear much about. Much of the tour was focused on an organ that... More

Concerts at the Eastman are always enjoyable. Beautifully restored, excellent acoustics. Went as part of Rochester Jazz Festival.

Lovely for music, opera decor. All seats are good despite it being a large theater. Parking is an issue, plan on using a garage or parking far away.

The bar is located across from the dining area, literally. Good, delicious stiff drinks made the transition from business talk to dinner conversation go smoothly. Restaurant has a terrific menu (meats, fish, chicken and pasta) and the food was great on all fronts. Salads, entrees and desserts hit the high notes. Respectable wine selection to compliment the food choices.

We came here to listen to the RPO play and were not disappointed. A testament to the skill of the RPO and the Eastman Theater's design. The building is beautiful, I enjoy just sitting there and looking around.

We attend 5 or 6 performances each year in this outstanding piece of history. Recent renovations enhanced its overall appeal. Seating is tight and the leg room is lacking but this does not distract from the outstanding performances. This is definitely a 5 star venue.
