Nice place, but too crowded to enjoy a meal

Group of five on a Thursday night. It was crowded but the staff was attentive and food came out timely. Diverse menu, lots of veggie options. Will come back.

Parking is terrible, the old factory ambiance wears thin REAL quick. Just because it is located in the "arts district" doesn't mean that you can't tear it down and build something(s) better with better parking and amenities.

Houses record stores, craft shops and all you would require to enjoy the yupie lifestyle. Safe neighborhood for the most part but do not stray too far off or the chances of getting mugged are there.

The Good: The outside is impressive looking. The giant gate, the tower, it has the right look for a really awesome urban mall. It's been pretty successful at being a mixed used facility; businesses, restaurants, shops, and residences. Gate House is really good. I also enjoy Salena's and California Rollin', though you can find better and more authentic mexican and... More

We stopped into the Village Gate last month to grab a meal after seeing a show downtown. It was about 700 PM on a Friday, and the place was fairly crowded.
