This museum has many things to offer. Priceless collections, traveling exhibits and many contributors that make this a stand out in the art world. You will not be disappointed if you stop in

We went for a food and wine festival and really enjoyed it. The gallery itself for art is limited and I would like to see more art. The location is good and I think they can do more with it.

I always liked MAG, a little gem of museum, offering a nice sampling of many segments of classic and contemporary art. The recent renovation made the surrounding even nicer: the museum looks more accessible and modern than before. The staff is kind and knowledgeable: they keep up with technology more than most other area museums. Their own app is nice,... More

I love the MAG! They host weddings and have wonderful gardens and architecture. They have a small theater to see live events and great art exhibits.

Walking by saw there was a Matisse exhibition on his prints and print making style. Though I had visited the gallery before went back to see this special exhibition which was wonderful and explored the gallery and found new exhibit that had been changed or added since my last visit. I love having the possibility to see and experience what... More

For a small museum, it contained works by many well known artists. We walked the whole museum in about an hour and a half, and enjoyed every minute of it. Go on a Thursday evening for half price entry after 6, and it would be a great bargain!

We love it here. You can do the whole place in an afternoon. You are allowed to bring sketch pads in and pencils, my kids love to do that. My kids have taken classes here for years and I can't say enough about Creative workshop and their instructors.

We are members of this museum. As it is a local, smaller one, with an interesting cross section of famous works, the big draw is the special exhibits, which can range from Russian icons to the current Matisse drawings exhibit with the additional strikingly beautiful pottery by his grandson. The outdoor area has charming sculptures, seating and a sidewalk imbedded... More

This was my first visit to Rochester and the Memorial Art Gallery. My overall impression of the gallery is very positive and it's well worth the drive, or if you are in town already, it's a "must-see" destination in Rochester. It's bigger than you think and by far the best gallery in northern New York state.

This is not a review of the Art Gallery but rather of the Thursday evenings Tapas bar. Every Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the Gallery court becomes the scene of a casual tapas bar with live music. We decided to give it a try in order to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was very pleasant overall. The court... More
