I love skating here! It's the perfect place to go in winter because after skating you can go to Java's for hot chocolate and hang with friends. The rink is a good size and the view looks magical with falling snow at night, which is when I like to skate. The location is perfect with everything else around the rink... More

Went to the Big Apple BBQ, where there was excellent BBQ food and live bands playing in the park. Great day out.

My husband and I went ice skating here on a Thursday afternoon. I loved that the rink was entirely outdoors! Very beautiful on a sunny day. Staff was friendly and funny and even let us use the plastic "walkers" that are usually for kids (this was only our second time skating). Fun music played as we skated. What a fun... More

Note - before I start this review, the name of this park had been changed to Martin Luther King Park. We visited this park to do some ice skating with a group of my daughter's friends for her birthday. The park is nicely maintained, and the ice is kept fresh via the use of a Zamboni. It is never overcrowded,... More

We were attracted to the music playing in the park yesterday, so we strolled over and found a festival going on. This park is so unusual because it is downtown, and contains more concrete areas than grass. But still, it is filled with iconic "things" such as sculptures and other creations that seem to take over the skyline. It's all... More

We decided to try going ice skating hoping that there would be enough skate rentals. We had a great time! Would recommend to all! We parked at Strong Museum for quick and close access. Top of with coffee or coca and it is a great date! We walked to see fireworks and were home for ball drop!

This is a nice rink for family outings. Nothing wow about it but it's in the middle of the city and nice to be with other families, It is also close to the Strong Museum so maybe you could skate and take in a museum when tired. You can also rent skates.

We had a fun little time here... dont have to be an experienced ice skater to enjoy yourselves here. Very cold but they have an indoor fireplace to warm up by. Rental available for 3 or 4 bucks.. although id reccomend bringing your own if u have them, for the rentals are uncomfortable. Very cute atmosphere with the snow falling... More

I merely stopped by this park today, but it was in full swing, even in the ice and cold. Lots of people were taking advantage of the ice skating rink, which is well-maintained for public use. You could play to your hearts content in most of the park, although the huge "structure" that everyone climbs up in the summer was... More

Have ice-skated nine times at Manhattan Square Park since it opened for the 2012-2013 season just before Thanksgiving. This IS a skating destination: ice is well-groomed (good Zamboni care!), the Lodge is warm and comfortable before and after a skate, and above all, the rink staff is hearty and welcoming. The staff makes new visitors and old regulars totally at... More
