The Little Theatre is one of the great little institutions of Rochester helping to create a rich quality of life for Rochester residents. Much has been mentioned in previous reviews about the offering of hard-to-find Independent and foreign films, gourmet nibbles and drinks, as well as live music. I have been frequenting The Little since the 1980's and have found... More

The Little Theatre offers the best in foreign and independent films. It has two buildings and five theaters.... Not to mention the best and healthiest popcorn in town. The theaters are small and intimate. Their is a great cafe with music and art. I love this theatre!!!!!!

The Little Theatre shows independent and foreign films that are not shown in chain theaters. It also has a cafe where you can enjoy a drink and a snack and listen to a range of local bands.

Not too loud, lots of art films and main stream films, great popcorn, friendly staff, a great partnership with public television and radio, and central location. Also, a great save of old buildings. Unfortunately, the food in the cafe is not great, so if you need a meal, eat somewhere else before or afterwards, but the popcorn and desserts available... More

Films are a little off-beat, but always enjoyable. Different (good) snack bar with unusual items for a movie theatre.

It's a local treasure. Independently owned and operated. Best films. Friendly staff. There are two theaters,Little 1 and Little 2, separated but close in proximity. Parking can be tight so come early. Not the most comfortable seating, but worth it. Good popcorn and homemade pastries for sale. Nice cafe at Little 2., but a bit expensive for some items. The... We're so lucky to have the Little Theatre here in Rochester. Great new movies, new directors, new actors, new and risky subject matters. Wonderful international films. Great space and great little bistro/cafe attached. We love it!
