People watching, food deals, dickering, the whole works in Rochester! Fun to wake up and get your fresh veggies and a breakfast treat/coffee and see the locals. One of my favorite things to do!

The Public Market is open on Thursdays and Saturdays. Vendors bring a variety of delicious in season fruits and veggies. But, that's not all! The stores that surround the outdoor market have delicious baked goods ($1.00 coffee-with free refills! What's not to love?), etc. PLUS!! There are Flower City Sundays in May; and Flea Markets throughout the summer on Sunday.... More

Unless you have never been to a farmer's market, there is nothing special about this one. It may be a great place for local residents, but I would not recommend it as an attraction. There are a lot of vendors, but there is not a lot of variety in what is offered. Most are vegetable and fruit stands and not... More

I love open air markets and have yet to find 1 as complete as Rochester's very own. Hadn't been in the area for about 5 years and not having access to the veritable shopping mall of staple and unique foods hurt immensely. And try to beat the prices. Worth getting up in the morning every visit.

I have been going to the Public Market for years, and always find the best vendors, produce, and bargains. It's a sea of diversity, with something for everyone. If you haven't gone, you're missing something special.

Plenty of places to get coffee, breakfast, yummy donuts that you can smell from far away, fruits, vegetbles, plants, flowers, meat, fish, eggs, poultry, and everyone and anyone! All aes, colors, cultures, city and suburban, plenty of places to park, and a nice way to spend some time in the morning.

Saturday there are about 10,000 visitors to the market. Don't expect parking to be easy. Summer is the time to buy local produce. The rest of the year it's mostly consolidators. But don't let that put you off. There are a few of the best food specialty shops anywhere: Giordano Cheese, Flour City Bakery. Two excellent cafes: java's and The... More

I've been to the Rochester Public Market quite a few times over the year's. It's got almost anything you could need or wish for from home grown produce, to landscaping items, tools, baked goods, kitchen items, sauces and more! We know a couple people that actually come and do quite a bit of shopping at the Rochester Public Market regularly... More
