I was very impressed with Justin the Greeter at the Convention Center. I had 4 different interactions with him. I found him very professional, helpful and friendly, decidedly a positive face for the Riverside CC. I spent 2 solid days in the Lilac Room for a class and the temp control was perfect, very well kept. The only draw backs... More

Hotel so so, not the best place to have large groups of kids. Business location so most things like Tim Hortons opened 8-4 and were closed on Sundays. Most things were a drive away not within walking distance. Not the best part of town either. Elevators slow even though there were 4. Under ground parking a pain. Old building narrow... More

Horrible. Do not hold your events here. Not only is the staff unprofessional, they have HUGE roaches and rats running throughout the building. Kitchen staff is not clean and do not wash hands. They store dirty dishes in the coolers with unprepared food for days at a time. The building is falling apart and has not been renovated since 1985.... More

This is one of the most pleasant and well-run convention centers in the Northeastern US. The Riverside Convention Center is an award winning design (Stuart Polshek, Columbia University) of variegated bands of granite, with a long glass atrium facing the Genesee River. It offers large and small meeting spaces, a full range of AV services, easy access to area hotels... More

This weekend I went to the garden/home show at the Convention Center. The Convention Center is a large inside/ outside area for Large parties, receptions. I have seen parties here, the auto show, fund raisers. It is beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for dancing, food etc. There is also an outdoor walkway overlooking the Genesee River. It is multilayered, escalators,... More

Very clean and well kept. Nice staff. Cold weather in area so it is very nice to be connected to the hotel.

Downtown Rochester. Good enough facility; if you see an event that you "must see" or an event that is all day...justifies the parking difficulties...this is a good convention center. Parking is limited on the street, can be expensive...might require some walking. The facility is showing its age

Located in the center of downtown Rochester the Convention center is somewhere around 20 years old so pretty new compared to the surrounding buildings. Cuisine is pretty darn good seeing as it hosts some high powered conventions. There is a 4 star hotel accross the street, used to be Holiday Inn but not sure who owns it now. You are... More

The service was great, but the convention center is showing its age. The fixtures in one bathroom seemed to be updated but the ones in the other bathrooms are pealing their coating and showing age.

I gave this an average rating mainly because it is in fact merely a convention center. Like most it's situated in the downtown section of the city. What makes this center unique is it's proximity to the Genesee River (thus the name "The River Side Convention Center). It's clean, it's modern and it provides an opportunity to walk the downtown...
