This place is not only entertaining, but informative. The variety of exhibits and various species of not only marine life, but reptiles and mammals is extensive. Be sure to catch the sea lion show.

Being from LI, i have been to the Aquarium before. It is on the smaller size, but it offers a lot of animal interactions that you can't get everywhere. (Shark dive, stingray feeding, penguin encounter) It's a nice place that you can really only spend 2-3 hours at. However, the tanks are pristine and diverse. The decor is unique and... More

I live a 1/2 mile away and have only been here a handful of times. Everytime i come i enjoy all the exhibits. Love the little cove to sit and watch the sea lions. Love to see them because sometimes on summer nights I can hear them barking from my house. Its so cute. Brought my nephew over the summer... More

They offer a shark dive which is pretty cool. It's $180 dollars but what they don't tell you is that admission is not included in this and you have to shell out another $30 bucks to get in, they also don't have a spectator price for someone watching you. They no longer offer wet shoes in the package and only... More

I visited the Long Island Aquarium during the school holiday around Thanksgiving with my brother and his twins, aged ten. There were a LOT of families and children there, but still there was enough parking (in the lot down the block) and plenty of space within the aquarium. I was able to spend some time exploring the exhibits on my... More

I came on a school trip with my grandson so it was a little hectic with all the kids running around. They have some very interesting exhibits and the kids love it.

I spent New Years here last night. I was also married here and although I am no longer married this place is still one of my favorite places to take my son. It's not the largest aquarium but it is so well done and their events are never a disappointment.

My children love going to the aquarium. We are know members. As a member you can go in and out whenever you are in the riverhead area. Plenty of exhibits inside and outside and activities. Don't miss the riverboat ride up the river with an educational and fun trip to a large sandbar with children's fun activities. Watch for seasonal... More
